Relax in a quiet, peaceful forest and enjoy the lovely setting of this romantic spot amidst nature and close to the purgatory brook. The 4-season tent has everything you need at your fingertips. From kajaks, phone chargers to coffee and tea. Luxury bedding, solar-powered outdoor shower in brand new outhouse, and absolute peace awaits you. THIS IS A HIKE-IN OR BEING DROPPED OFF IN OUR UTV SITE. You can park your vehicle ca. 5 min by foot away. We’ve carefully thought through all of the pros and cons of camping to cater to your experience at The Bubbling Brook! When you rent your tent space through us, here is what you’ll experience: * A private spot in a wonderful forest right at Purgatory Brook. * A well-designed, water and fire-proofed, canvas tent covered by a rain fly So even on rainy days, you will be kept warm and dry, listening to the sound of the rain. The windows and front and back doors unzip to screened windows and doors to help you fight off any potential mosquitoes while also allowing a warm summer breeze to flow through. * A deck with comfortable Adirondack chairs. * A queen-size bed with a comfortable memory foam mattress, cotton sheets, cushy pillows, a soft, warm duvet cover, and a blanket. A rug is underneath to keep those bare feet warm! * A wood stove in the winter season and a gas heater in the in-between seasons to light on cool mornings, a fire pit to light on beautiful evenings, and plenty of dry firewood to purchase from us for both. *Battery-operated lanterns and a battery pack to charge your own devices. There is good cell phone reception. (T-Mobile and Verizon work best). * A propane camp stove to cook your meals on, with plenty of pots and pans, tinfoil, wooden spoons, plates, bowls, salt and pepper, oil, basic spices… everything you need! * Coffee and tea and a camp stove French press. * A welcome snack basket will await you. * A cooler to keep your food in just bring the ice. * Gallons of water from our lown spring to drink, wash your dishes with, and use to put the campfire out. * A hammock to nap or read in. * An enclosed camping toilet with toilet paper. * A seasonal, hot, outdoor shower (for cooler months, we recommend heating up water on the stove for a sponge bath). * Soft, big towels for your needs. * Lots of woods, brooks, and trails on our property to explore. *Kajak rental included in price to explore near by lakes and rivers. * Loads of books and games some really antique books are around too. * A binder of recommended shops, farmers' markets and adventures, and restaurants. * Add-ons like pre-made meals, romance packages, or camp-fire stew packages are available! What should you bring? * Bug spray * Food * Layers of clothes--New Hampshire weather can wildly fluctuate! * Something warm for your feet * A sense of adventure! Anything else you should know? * Yes. Remember, that this is a full-woods immersion. So that means there is wildlife and bugs! Staying in the glamping tent comes with a bit of responsibility. All food must be cleaned up and stored properly to avoid attracting any wild critters, including bears. The garbage must be contained and covered and no food should be left out at any point. When you leave for the day or go to bed, please put anything in the sealed cooler, lockable dry box, or in your car, including toothpaste. Sweep up and dispose of any crumbs. If you are unsure of anything, give us a shout and we will help you! Remember this is luxury tenting, not luxury hoteling! * We have a working farm, so while you have as much privacy as you need, you may hear sounds coming from the property, like dogs, lawn mowers, and tractors, or some noise from the neighbors and people hiking the purgatory brook trail. * Sometimes, if it rains and especially in the spring, there are some wet areas. Rain boots are always helpful! * Mosquitoes and ticks are a real thing here in New Hampshire and are inescapable if you intend to be outside at all. Some years are better than others. Bring bug spray! * We’ve taken tons of care to build this property and hope you will leave it in the same condition you found it.
Astrid's glamping tent was perfect! We had everything we needed, including pans for cooking, coffee and s'more fixings. The property is beautiful and it was exactly what we were look for! We walked lots of the property and our dogs enjoyed running around! The path to the campsite was rocky but we were able get there in our small SUV. We did not see any wildlife but we heard lots of different animals. I honestly wish we could have stayed a few more days because everything was so relaxing!
Amazing quiet location tucked away next to a river with plenty of space and privacy, just a short ATV ride with Bob from where you park! If it's been raining definitely bring your boots as some of the road down can get a bit waterlogged. The campfire by the river was a great touch.
Astrid is the best!!! Super nice and welcoming. When she was out of town, her friend helped out. Always responsive to things we needed/forgot. Thank you both!! Not to mention a perfect place for my girlfriend and I to spend a birthday weekend. Left the coast for a retreat in the forest. When it was a clear night, we cooked on the fire. When it rained, we made a cozy meal in the tent The propane heater kept the tent nice and warm despite 40deg temps. It was an amazing weekend and we’ll be back!
Beautiful, comfortable place to stay with wonderful/helpful host and lots to do in the area! 5/5, would highly recommend 🙂
Astrid and Rob couldn't have been nicer and their property was exactly what I needed! Right on the Purgatory Trail and river, I listened to the water at night and enjoyed a cozy tent with everything I needed. When the mosquitoes were too much to bear, they brought more repellant and candles. Also offered to start a fire for me or a chance to move to the other tent. The best part.....I was worried about leaving my puppy to attend an event in town so they took care of her while I was away! I knew she would be well cared for and tired when I returned. We had the place to ourselves and enjoyed lots of walks, fire, river, clean outhouse, and comfortable bed at night. Hoping to return in the near future!
Our property is located on a private road. Please obey the speed limit when driving in. We are just a 1.5 hour drive from Boston and close to Manchester and Concord. Crotchet Mountain and the beautiful Mount Monadnock area is very close by. Lots of Lakes and recreational sites close by.
This is a fully equipped campsite from BBQ tongues to coffee and tea. Just bring food, bug spray, layers of clothes, and a sense of adventure. THIS IS A HIKE-IN OR BEING DROPPED OFF IN OUR UTV SITE. You can park your vehicle ca. 5 min by foot away. CHECK IN IS SHARP BETWEEN 3-6 PM. REACH OUT BEFORE BOOKING IF THIS DOESN'T APPLY TO YOUR PLANS.

Bob and I are self-described world travelers. Bob has visited about 50 countries around the world mostly for business but also for pleasure and I made it to 27 so far. We love to hike, nature, garden, and of course travel. We stay mostly in privately owned homes or apartments. Nowadays we try to book with other Airbnb hosts first. We like the native vibe to travel like this and I guess if we only would have followed the touristy paths we wouldn't have seen half as much as we do travel the way we do. Five things we cannot live without are Love, Health, Happiness, good food, and wine. We love to have guests from all over the world to give some of the great hospitality we have received over the years on our travels back to our guests. We have guests who like to laugh and enjoy life as much as we do. Our hobbies are widespread while Bob likes to garden and do woodwork (he makes furniture), and to golf, I like to hike with our dogs Pommes and Schnitzel, do art projects, knit and crochet. We both enjoy cooking and entertaining friends and family. I’m the CEO of EmbraceYourNutrition a Health and Wellness Experience and Retreat center. Talk to me if you are interested to find out more about healthy living and eating. I offer nutritional consultations and cooking classes on our property. Living in California Bob and I ran an AirBnb as superhosts for about 9 years. Now in New Hampshire we are continuing the hosting experience and we are hoping to create and to write many more positive memories with our guests. Life is good, let's go and live it!
