We stayed at Hummingbird Apartment for 7 days and had a wonderful time. The apartment was exactly as described. The location is very peaceful and relaxing with a lovely pool area with sun loungers and a great view of the surrounding area. Hiring a car is definitely recommended as it is in a remote area and a 30-40 minute drive from St. John’s and English Harbour. Karen recommended Citrus Car Rentals which worked well for us. Even though the apartment is not located in a built up area, you can still reach points of interest very easily. Long Bay and Devil’s Bridge are only a 10-15 minute drive and very beautiful. We would highly recommend staying at Hummingbird apartment and our hosts Karen and Martyn were very helpful and had lots of great recommendations.

We had a fantastic time staying at the Hummingbird apartment and can’t recommend it highly enough. If you’re looking for peace, tranquillity in a truly stunning setting, this is the place for you! It is reasonably priced, exactly like the pictures and you can totally relax and enjoy the ample space provided. Karen and Martyn are around if you need them and provided lots of local knowledge, and a very lovely couple. We cannot wait to revisit and experience it all again!

Wow. The most perfect place you’ll ever stay. It has everything you could possibly want, so beautiful and comfortable. Karen and Claire were so accommodating, paddle boarding off the dock was one of our favourite things! Thank you so much for a lovely stay!

The beauty and comfort of a resort without the huge crowds of people. Karen’s place is peaceful and comfortable, and there’s plenty of space. The pool and private access to the bay are lovely touches. Pics 100% accurate. If you book this place I would also highly recommend renting a car, as Karen’s location is in a more remote area of the island. Car rentals are fairly cheap. Karen can provide you a link to a good car rental place, or you can also rent at the airport. Both options are good. Karen was a very responsive host and would book this place again.
