We had a wonderful holiday in Filip and Marjolijns beautiful finca. The place is magical - the surroundings, the house, the furniture, the heated pool , the view. We loved it all and it even turned out to be better than in the pictures. A great and quiet base for exploring andalusia. Great communication before, under and after the stay. When booking you are provided with the hosts own guidebook to the house and the nearby restaurants and attractions. Also a very special thanks to Rita the local host who did everything to make us feel welcome and pampered - from guiding us to the house and giving restaurant recommendations to answering questions online and even arranging for a baby chair to be brought to the house. We would happily rent the place again!

When making reservation I did have impression that the owner is perhaps slightly overprotective with regards to the house. it's only when we arrived I understood why. This house is definitely way above airbnb average. This is not IKEA quality. This like one would furnish for himself. Also, the place is beautifully located and very private. So if you like nice surroundings, quality and privacy and don't fancy crowds of football fans from certain non European country this is place for you.

If you like peace and quiet, yet close to all of Andalusia's most beautiful attractions... this house is for you. Access is a little tricky, but in the end it's the price of peace and quiet.

The Finca was probably the best prepared and best equipped of many where we have stayed throughout Europe over 20 years. It was presented and finished to a very high standard. In its space and facilities, it exceeded the impressions we got from the description. Rita, the host, was a delight, pleasant, charming and immediately responsive at all times. Felip/Marijolijn were frequently in touch. The large heated pool was fantastic, despite a minor misunderstanding about the additional cost of the electricity. The 3 ensuite bedrooms were extremely comfortable and meticulously clean. The kitchen, furnishings and utilities were of the highest quality. A minor blip was its proximity to the flight-path into Malaga, but while this took a little away from the tranquillity it was not too intrusive and lent itself to a little plane-spotting if you liked. Mentioning Malaga, Àlora is only 40 minutes away by train....at a cost of €3 per person. All in all, a wonderful place to be highly recommended.

Having stayed in many many short stay holiday homes around the world, this has to rank as one of the best. An amazing location, beautiful view, high quality property that gives a perfect balance of being on holiday but feeling at home. The location is so peaceful and tranquil balanced with the amenities to allow you to relax and enjoy a holiday with friends and family. Rita meets you to ensure that everything is good and you are settled in on arrival. Great communications with the hosts who have put great effort into creating a fabulous property and holiday home. We will be returning!
