We planned to stay over 2 months as we waited for home construction to finish. Unfortunately we experienced many problems and had to leave for another Airbnb ~3 weeks into our stay. While we enjoyed meeting Ron & Karen socially, staying in their unit was not pleasant. During our stay, the wifi was unusable (we had to rely on cell hotspots), the bathroom toilet & tub backed up with garden water, the kitchen flooded when the washer backed up and the microwave stopped working & needed replacement. We are reasonable people. We would have stayed had the issues been promptly and professionally addressed. Unfortunately Ron insisted we were to blame and insisted on DIY repairs instead of professional maintenance. To illustrate the point, check in even came with an impromptu tour that included instructions on how to use a screwdriver to open the washer when it gets stuck. This stay made an already challenging life transition needlessly more stressful.

Great host, great house, great location

The living room was comfortable and sunny with a lovely view to the rose garden, grassy area and a view of the water after the leaves had fallen - it was in the autumn that we stayed at the airbnb. The kitchen was full of everything as cook would want. The basics and more. We love the bath tub as we are bath takers. We could take a lovely walk right out the front door in a safe and beautiful and friendly neighborhood. We stayed a while and loved every minute. Thank you!

Hard to say which was better, Ron or the apartment. Ron is very personable, helpful and responsive. The apartment is spacious and immaculate. Highly, highly, highly recommended!

Beautiful and convenient! Ron is an accommodating and friendly host who enjoys chatting with his guests and was easy to work with. The unit is the first floor of his house, with access to the backyard from your main door. It was convenient to have a fully fenced huge beautiful yard for our dog. The yard is shared with Ron's family who live next door and have a cute new pup! The kitchen has all the basics for cooking - a single induction stovetop, microwave with convection oven (I was able to heat frozen things and bake mini muffins), a toaster oven, and a counter height fridge and separate chest freezer. There are other counter appliances (slow cooker, electric skillets, etc). The full size washer and dryer work great. The living area gets tons of natural light, there are no curtains in the living area. The location in uptown is right by a small park with trails and an area that is dog friendly. Walk down the hill to get to coffee, small groceries, restaurants.
