About Medicine Park: We were there Sunday night - Tuesday morning and most shops were not open. Which is probably why we were able to book as know these are so popular with good reason. Sunday was a mess as it’s my understanding that was last free weekend swim. Swimming is $3 otherwise The birdhouse was amazing and the window was perfect to animal watch. We saw geese, ducks, turtles and an otter Candace attention to detail was wonderful! I especially loved the table and rocking chairs under the birdhouse so that you could enjoy the cool breezes and animal watch, read etc Highly recommend
This was my husband and I's 1st visit to Medicine Park, we loved this Airbnb, walkable to everything in town and beautiful view of the river.
The Hummingbird cottage was a sweet little place and decorated so cutely. It met our needs for our short stay as it was well equipped with all necessities. The hostesses were most willing to help if it was needed during our stay. We enjoyed being on the creek watching the wildlife. I recommend staying here.

You are on the main downtown street but tucked away privately on the banks of the creek. You follow a sidewalk to the cottage closest to the bridge a walk up a set of stairs to your deck. Hummingbird also has a covered space underneath to sit and watch the water.
Simply walk out your door to the sidewalk and you are there…shopping, eateries, taverns, swimming, etc. Medicine Park is the “gateway” to the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge and you will need to drive or bike to get around there.
