We stayed here for 2 nights and generally everything was as expected. A previous review from Feb-24 notes a broken toilet seat. April-24 and the toilet seat was still broken. Thomas was quick to sort out a parking issues from the bigger house that was preventing us driving up the track to the lodge. I can understand how others have had difficulties on checking in as instead of sending the keylock code as part of a check in message, the host requires you to call him. Which if he is unavailable you would be left stuck outside. There is a window above the bed that does not have a curtain or blind so expect to be woken up by the morning light, no chance of a lie in here. The lodge was generally clean but not spotless. Overall we had an average stay but felt for the price it should have been spotless and issues in previous reviews sorted quickly.

Had such a lovely stay! Everything was perfect and exactly as described! The whole place was spotlessly clean and beautiful! Would definitely recommend ☺️

Me and my partner had a lovely weekend at the lodge. It was the perfect weekend getaway for a relax and only a 10 minute walk to the beach and the lovely town. We will definitely be looking to come back again in the summer to use the hot tub and garden space more and make use of the bbq! Thomas’s instructions to find the lodge were super helpful and he provided us with the code in plenty of time for check in so the process was so easy and straight forward which made the experience easy and more relaxed after not arriving until late on Friday after a full day in work. Thankyou so much for sharing your beautiful home with us. We already can’t wait to come back!

Lovely cabin, exactly as described & in a perfect location to walk to Aberaeron Harbour. However, host was unreachable. Messaged the day prior to arrange our arrival & obtain the code to gain access - no response. Called the host on the way to the cabin - no response. Arrived at the cabin - no response & no way to gain access. Happened to realise that the house, which is also listed on air bnb was occupied & had to knock on the door to other air bnb guests to obtain an emergency contact number. I completely understand that accidents happen (host has lost his phone) - but to have no contingency in place knowing that the cabin would be occupied for the weekend was quite poor. Had the house not been occupied we would have been left without access & out of pocket - the only numbers for contact were in the cabin welcome pack! Such a shame as the property is lovely & in an ideal location. We did enjoy our stay but communication was a huge let down.
