自我介绍

My name is Colin. I grew up in England but came to the U.S. as a grad student and have stayed for close to 30 years. I am a music director (Broadway shows - Lion King, Wicked, Billy Elliot, Hamilton, etc. - as well as an opera and ballet conductor, pianist, organist and composer) with other interests in history, art, architecture, travel, language, food, gardening, and people. I've travelled to some amazing far-flung places, and have almost always been on the move: so even though I've owned places in London, New York, Las Vegas and Chicago, I rarely was ever there! I'm relaxed and friendly, and enjoy meeting new people. Before moving to Door County, Wisconsin I was based in Chicago (2016-2019) while working as the Music Director of "Hamilton," the musical. I am now engaged in an ambitious project to create 10 unique homes on my Green Gables property, which will accommodate visitors to Door County. Also at Green Gables have designed and planted what is rapidly becoming a rather special nature-inspired 'events garden.' When I'm not in the garden (perhaps on a tractor, or hauling rocks), I am cleaning or decorating houses between guests. In my spare time I am the organist at Ephraim Moravian Church and play at six other churches in Door County. I also produce a series of monthly live concerts, entitled "Colin & Friends."
