This is my second stay at one of Julio's places. I am from Antigua and Barbuda and visit the country often. The place is excellent for a person who wants to know the culture and people and stay away from hotels yet still be safe. Location: The location is excellent as there is transport 3 mins walk which includes motobikes ( i am scared of) and mini buses. There is a huge supermarket 5 minutes walk and a very nice food place 3 minutes from the apartment where I ate everyday. There are also two gyms close by but I advise that if you are a man who serious about working out, go between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm because the sheer number of sexy women outside these hours will distract you. Safety: I walked to everywhere and the neighbourhood is friendly and quiet and seemingly safe as I walked in the night alone without a bother in the world except the sheer silence of the night on the street where the apartment is located. Taxis and motos will drop you off right in front of the apartment. Apartment: clean and has everything. i can only say that the fridge works for sure and the television which has netflix. as for the rest of appliances, they are there but there are so many food places nearby, including this small shop on the main road, that I had no time to cook, but let us assume they work. There is hot and cold water which works perfect once you calibrate correctly and the bed is fine for sleeping. The Host: Julio is excellent and I am guessing very patient (he was with me, although he may have cursed me privately when he hung up) and helpful. He sent me a video direction to the apartment and answered all my questions. All things considered I would give this airbnb a 10/10 and recommend anyone to try it if they want a great stay in San Pedro de Macoris. Thank Julio, I will definitely visit agan..

Nice apartment in a cool town. The air conditioner in the room was clutch and I’m happy it was there. I loved the balcony in the front. I put a chair out there at night and relaxed. The nights are nice and cool and relaxing. Julio answered promptly.
