The apartment is located a little bit outside San Juan. The advantage is that you don't have noise from the nightlife but still close to the beach and restaurants. In the morning you will wake up with bird songs and howler moneys in the hills around. There's also a natural reserve close by ( 2 kilometers away) where you can spot sloths and a lot of different birds.

if you are planning to go to beaches outside San Juan you could rent a bike or a car . But there are also several shuttles every day to these beaches . These can be booked for instance at Casa d'oro. Taxi's in town will cost roughly 30 cordobas per person. travelling by taxi to rivas should cost around 350 cordobas in total. Local busses to rivas are cheaper, but take more time and are less comfortable.
