At our arrival, we have been received by a nice old man who was taking care of Elena’s garden which is located inside the city. Elena has been very reactive during the booking process as well as at our arrival. She has proposed us to take the cable at Fuente De and use a rebate code of 70% that worked perfectly. Thanks to this, we have followed her advice and trailed to the refuge standing 720m above the cable. Very nice experience, we started in the sun and came back while it was starting to snow. Have to say Potes is a very well preserved big village with several excellent restaurants specially Asador Llorente.

Precioso apartamento en el corazón antiguo de Potes. Tiene acceso a un jardín con terraza y vistas a las montañas donde desayunamos todos los días 🙌🏼 Nos lo pasamos genial explorando la zona y caminando por el pueblo. Muy buena comunicación con Elena y su padre. Volveremos!

What can I say - Elena’s place was a fantastic find and the perfect place to base ourselves for a weekend exploring the Picos de Europa national park. Nestled in the narrow and quiet streets it was a picturesque spot with all we needed in the way of facilities and a space to unwind after a long day of exploring. Helpfully it was only 30 seconds walk to the first bar and around 2 minutes downhill to the very centre of Potes. Would recommend to anyone wanting to have a central and accessible space for enjoying all the day activities the area has to offer and having the same whole of Potes to explore on your doorstep in the evening.
