This hidden little gem is a must see/stay! Katherine is so nice and helpful in every way. The space is adorable, comfortable and peaceful. I cannot wait for another work trip to bring me to the area so I may stay again! 🩷
Our stay at Magna Bonum was absolute perfection! We were greeted upon arrival with a run down on how to use everything, and we even got a tour of the other refurbished school on the property. We love historical information, and it was so wonderful to hear a few stories of the old schools as well as look through pictures of the process of refurbishing them. There were also other historical books for us to look through, and I just loved learning more about the life of the 1 room schoolhouses. Our stay was quiet and peaceful, filled with walks down a prairie road, many soaks in the hot tub, and enjoying the lovely treats that were left for us. Everything added up to a perfect little 31st anniversary getaway! We hope that we have the opportunity to return again someday. Thank you for creating such a wonderful, unique, and enjoyable experience!
What an incredible place! We love to stay in unique and historic places, and this renovated school house was amazing. Katherine was incredibly responsive in communicating with us. We enjoyed how quiet and peaceful it was, and loved sitting in the hot tub, watching the stars. It is so beautiful decorated and well equipped. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Saskatchewan.
We had the most relaxing and enjoyable couple days! The one room school house was so cozy, clean and perfectly decorated. We felt at home as soon as we arrived. Katherine was an amazing host and met us there when we arrived to make sure we had everything we needed and knew how to use everything. She is very kind and left us home made cookies and fresh cream for coffee. The whole experience was lovely. We would 100% stay again!

自我介绍
We are Keith & Kathy Warrington. Family is the most important part of our lives, & providing an opportunity for people to spend time with one another at Merid & Magna is literally a dream come true. I, Kathy, was raised travelling the world. My parents had a passion for history, which was evident in their vast collection of antiques. For most of my adult life I worked as a social worker, primarily in international and domestic adoptions. In my spare time I started Tattered Treasures, an antique refinishing and furniture restoration company. Many of the pieces you will see at the properties have been restored by me personally. Upon retirement from social work, I decided to focus on my business and help my husband Keith with our farm/ranch operation. Busy with this business, as well as a large garden and orchard, the schools fit beautifully into our quiet but busy life on the prairie. My husband Keith was born and raised in this area. In fact, his family once homesteaded on the land where they now live. Many of his family members attended Merid School and he himself attended Magna Bonum School in Grade 1-2. Keith's family have beautiful and deep pioneering roots both in the history of Merid as well as the schools. In many ways the restoration of these schools is in honor the pioneers who paved the way for the future generations.
