The Chase Mansion was super cool. I’d definitely stay again. It was neat to stay in such an old mansion. We had 6 people, and it was more than enough room. The mansion was clean, and comfortable. The beds were super comfortable as well. Being right down town St. Joseph, we walked to a coffee shop in the morning and dinner in the evening. We walked to Jesse James’ house less than a mile away as well. Highly recommend that as well.

We had a great stay at the Cherry Mash house. Great big rooms and lots of space to spread out for our family of 6. Loved walking the neighborhood and looking at all the historical homes. Surprisingly quiet neighborhood. Location is only a short drive from everything. So glad we stayed here and drove into KC for the day. We would have never found a place as cool in our budget in KC.

Fun old mansion. Some bathroom fittings are challenging like the upstairs shower. Lots of light coming through the windows. Lots of room! Lots of character.

This wonderful old manse on Museum Hill exceeded our expectation in almost every way. Our stay evolved into an experience where our phones and tablets almost seemed out of place. I required communication with the host once, which he handled with perfect immediacy. If you are looking for a 19th century flavored experience, this is it!

I loved the chase mansion. It’s a huge old house with loads of character. Some of my friends that stayed were a bit put off about the bathrooms. I thought they were cool. Claw foot tubs and original tile. The heat was pretty good considering it was 6 degrees and it being such a huge house. The front lock was very hit and miss. Once we couldn’t get in but once again, it was crazy cold so I think that was maybe the problem. We quickly got help getting in a different way from the maintenance person. All and all I enjoyed the history of the place. The beds were very comfortable. Anytime I had a question the owner was very quick to help.
