Our stylish tents sit in a meadow in the beautiful countryside of the Lauragais, an undiscovered corner of France between Toulouse and Carcassonne offering a truly unique holiday. Bringing together modern style and the tranquility of nature, the tents feature amazing panoramic windows that provide natural light and roof windows to gaze at the stars at night. With seperate bedrooms, private kitchens and bathrooms you can have all the fun of the outdoors with all the comfort of the indoors. There is plenty of space for all the family in the two bedrooms, one furnished with a double bed, the other with bunk or twin beds, all made up with organic cotton linens, both feature black out curtains for a great night’s sleep. Meals can be enjoyed together inside and outside. The dining table and seating area with a comfortable sofa look out over the fields. Your tent is a short step to a private, ‘en-suite’ shower room and toilet with heated floors for a hot shower even in the cooler months. The private kitchen is your own to create wonderful meals inspired by the fabulous local markets and artisan producers. It is fully equipped with a combi microwave oven, gas hob and fridge. The tents boast a lovely wooden deck surrounded by the wild flower meadow, the perfect environment to sit, relax and enjoy the views. Our site has a shared outdoor, heated swimming pool, children’s play area, games and a small on site shop for essentials and local products. The shaded barn has space to eat, drink and relax. A place for camping, not a campsite.

Great weekend in a comfortable tent and walks nearby. Very kind hosts. We really liked the location and stay 🏕️🍁 When it rained it was very cozy. On cool evenings, there is a heater and a hot water bottle Kitchen for cooking and barbeque - everything is there for a delicious meal.

Lieu idéal pour déconnecter! Ici on oublie son téléphone et les réseaux et on se met dans les transats ou le hamac pour profiter de la nature, du ciel étoilé... Tout est mis en oeuvre pour empêcher nos amis les moustiques de venir nous rendre visite mais si comme moi, ils vous aiment beaucoup, pensez à prendre une crème répulsive ou apaisante.

We are located in the small village of Montmaur in Aude just over the border with the Haute-Garonne.
Our gites provide a great location for a rural escape from hectic lives without having to spend hours in the car to reach us. Only 45 minutes from both Toulouse and Carcassonne airports and accessible from both the A61 motorway and the main railway line between Toulouse and the Mediterranean. The cycle path ‘la rigole du canal du Midi’ stretching from the Canal du Midi to Revel and on to Lac St Ferreol lies on the other side of the village if you are travelling by bike or by boat.
We have very good road links with the A61 motorway only 15 minutes away that. We are a great base to explore the Lauragaise and beyond:
• Swim, walk or sail at Lac Saint Ferreol
• Explore Cathar castles
• Experience Carcassonne.
• A day out in Toulouse
• Sample the local markets such as Revel and come back to cook the perfect supper
• Cycle and walk through the undulating surrounding country side
• Take a tour of an organic vineyard
• Hire a bike and cycle to Castelnaudary along the Canal du Midi and try the real Cassoulet

We would like to support guests who arrive by train or by bike and will pick you and your luggage up from our nearest train station at Villefranche de Lauragais on the Toulouse to Narbonne mainline. We are only half an hour from Toulouse by train and you can put your bike on the train free of charge. Please let us know when you make your booking so that we can plan around your arrival time.
Our nearest boulangerie, pharmacie, doctors and small supermarche are in the village of Labastide-d’Anjou 6km away. Our nearest town is Villefranche-de-Lauragais which has a range of independent shops, boulangeries, boucheries, bars and restaurants and a large Hyper-U supermarche. Castelnaudary is only 20 minutes in the car.
