This cozy cabin has been remodeled to accommodate a small kitchenette and features 1 king bed and 2 twin beds, full Bath, Wi-Fi, Roku TV, baseboard heater, Dyson fan for cooling, and a quiet porch area. The rental is on the Ancient Way Café / El Morro RV Park Property on NM State Highway 53, and is nestled under stunning sandstone formations and surrounded by pinon, juniper, and Ponderosa pine. Elk, deer, fox, raptors, and songbirds are frequent visitors to the park. The Cabin is located just 1 mile east of El Morro National Monument. The view of the Sandstone Cliffs behind and the Zuni Mountains across the valley from the cabin's front porch are fantastic. There is a 1 mile sculpture trail walk through the forest at the property as well, with the trailhead just behind the cabin. In addition, each cabin has a new charcoal grill available for outdoor use. (available when no fire restrictions are in place)

We loved staying at this cozy cabin. It was incredibly close to El Morro. There's a hot plate and a microwave which we used to make dinner as the restaurant wasn't open when we were there. The heat worked great to keep the cabin warm while it snowed outside. If you're sensitive to pet hair, I will note that the extra blanket on the bed had a lot of pet hair stuck to it. But everything else was very clean. If we were in the area, we would definitely stay here again.

We are located between two fantastic National Monuments. El Morro National Monument is 1 mile east, and the El Malpais National Monument is 14 miles west of our location. Each provides a beautiful and unique look into the natural wonders of the area, as well as a captivating historical record of the peoples who have called this place home for centuries. There are great hiking and bikepacking opportunities! Other attractions in the area within 1 hour include Zuni and Acoma Pueblos, and Gallup, with its world class collection of Native American Arts, Crafts, Pottery and Rugs. Come grab a meal at our on-site restaurant, Ancient Way Cafe (make sure to check current hours).
