Whealbee Cottage was a very comfortable home away from home. A beautiful amount of space for family as well as separate living spaces to chill. The kitchen had lots of crockery, cookware and other gadgets…. awesome to have our family “Christmas” roast (in October!!). If we didn’t live so far away, we’d definitely be back again for more Letterboxing on Dartmoor. Roger & Judith were amazing hosts.

Our stay was fantastic. The cottage was cozy and relaxing and Roger and his wife were very welcoming hosts. Our only slight complaints are that the WiFi and phone signal were a little inconsistent, and it proved to be slightly harder to walk to nearby locations than hoped

As others have said, it's even bigger than the pictures suggest. It was a perfect base to explore Dartmoor from knowing we had a cosy cottage to return to which felt very homely. Would definitely stay again.

A good sized property for four adults and two children, beautiful presented with everything a family needs. Roger was the perfect host, approachable, helpful, friendly and respectful. The location is beautiful with views for miles and plenty of walking and exploring to do. The house is close enough to a local town to be able to gather supplies, with three small supermarkets and a great indoor market. If you need more, Plymouth is less than an hour away.
