I was very comfortable in the house, Diana is very helpful and friendly. If I come back I would like to be her guest again.
Living with Diana has been a superb experience. She consistently displays a high level of care for us and promptly addresses any issues that arise. For instance, the toilet seat in my room had seen better days, so she took the initiative to replace it with a smart toilet seat, at no additional cost to me. My room, an inviting space adorned with two windows, is outfitted with a spacious closet and a comfortable bed. This cozy sanctuary not only serves as an ideal workstation but also perfectly accommodates my yoga practices. The location offers a blend of privacy and security that is truly unparalleled; throughout my stay, I have not encountered any annoyances or safety concerns. Every now and then, Diana surprises us by whipping up delicious home-cooked meals, which add an extra layer of warmth to our shared living environment. I sincerely appreciate Diana for cultivating such a friendly and comfortable atmosphere, as well as providing an extraordinary living space.
I stayed with Diana for five months. She is a great mother, artist and host. Everything was good and I enjoyed talking with her especially when I came back from work. Diana is very kind and takes care of all her guests. I recommend her house 100% and I am sure it was my best stay ever in Airbnb. I hope to come back to Bay Area again next year and live in Diana’s house one more time :)
Diana was a very gracious host and the room is very nice. I stayed for four months. I would NOT recommend this location for a long stay, but rather short term. Here is why: The "private bathroom" is not attached to the room, it is out in the hall so there is chance it will be used by other guests or just people in the house. You are given plenty of space for food if you wish to have your own during your stay. When I first reserved my room it was advertised as "female only", but about halfway through my stay Diana changed that policy without letting me know. Also, when new guests move into the rooms, you are not given any heads up, so I found out I had new roommates either when I saw a new car in the driveway or saw someone I didn't recognize in the house. A large issue I had was with one of the permanent residents who was not through Airbnb, this woman made the rules for the lower half of the house which were: no heat (because the vents were too loud), washer and dryer use at certain times of the day (was not clear with the times when I first came so I had my dryer turned off multiple times without me knowing), and she was also not very welcoming. I had a guest over for one weekend and as we were making dinner, this woman played her music and top volume and when I asked her to turn it down she completely ignored me. I think this would be a fine place to stay for a few days if you are not in the house for long, but I would not recommend it for stays longer than a week. I had little to no issues with Diana except for her communication. It was the other resident in the house that caused problems.
Mrs Zhou is a Chinese-disciplined, respectful, perfect mom and talented woman. She sings opera beautifully. There are also 3 different tenants, except Mrs Zhou, who share the kitchen, refrigerator and common areas with. I accommodated for 67 days. I can not recommend for long stay, however staying for max 3-4 days can readily be recommended. Firstly it was quite expensive if you consider no further cleaning for your room or shared bathroom to stay longer than one week. You have to pay to Airbnb so much money, 225 $ per month as Airbnb service fee, apart from making a payment to host. The common bathroom had been cleaned just for two times within this 67 days. You share your bathroom with another female tenant. The sink and refrigerator may be kept dirty sometimes due to the other tenants. Secondly, not the host Mrs Zhou, but the other permenant tenant who stays in your adjacent room and works full remotely, tends to mob you, be noser and dare to discipline you. She requests you to be quiet after 9pm. She blocks the turning the central heating up on the ground of noise, although you are frozen or blocks to wash your laundry which will end at 9:15pm. However, she readily turn volume the Chinese music up for hours until 11pm or anytime. It was sincerely bothering to keep up with her. I even thought to move because of her mobbing, even I was the person who pays the most in all of the house. So, I had to let the host know. She had a bit improved thanks God after the Host spoke to her. The laundry facility was perfect. I also thank Mrs Zhou to buy a heater core for my room, otherwise I would be get cold because the other tenant ban you to turn the central heater up in 62°F. There is a free parking place. The neighbourhood was quiet, tidy and clean. The room was spacious.
