Michele's guest cottage is a gem and the grounds are extraordinary--you will feel like you are living in a storybook paradise. Michele was so thoughtful and attended to our every need. It's hard to believe, but it's even better than the photos. Incredible!

We could not have imagined a more pleasant stay on Lopez Island than we had at Michele’s place. The guest house was charming, the grounds breathtaking, the pool an oasis, and our host the height of graciousness. Kitchen and bathrooms were well supplied with all the necessities and then some. We enjoyed a distinct change of pace, along with plentiful nature, locally grown produce, live music events, and friendly locals. If you’re looking to visit Lopez, you won’t find a more enchanting place to stay than this.

This house on quiet, scenic Lopez Island was one of the most wonderful properties i have ever rented (and I have rented many all over the world, and I'm very picky!). The setting and (40 acre) grounds were gorgeous. The gardens were magnificent. The house was spacious, beautifully furnished and equipped, and in immaculate condition. The property is even better than the photos reflect. The 60 foot pool was surrounded by stone walls and hedges--extremely private. The pool house was sumptious. Michele was lovely, helpful, and unobtrusive. The rental was expensive but provided great value. We hope to return. It is important to note that the ferry service is unreliable with ferries being delayed or cancelled often and it is not possible to reserve a ferry leaving Lopez Island, so plan accordingly.

Michele is an amazing host (so attentive to detail), and her property is truly stunning. Her thoughtfulness (including assessing for any additional needs we may have, and then ensuring a stand mixer was in the home for our visit, meeting us for an orientation, and providing tailored local recommendations) and communication made our trip stress-free. The house is very well stocked (the cookware was very high quality, appliances were top-end, and the home had the sharpest knives of any Airbnb we’ve stayed at), the pool house/pool/hot tub were incredible, and walking the grounds and orchard were delightful (not to mention the view at sunset as well as all the picnic tables to enjoy an outdoor meal). We were three adults and two kids (grandparent, couple, toddler, and an infant), and the space worked great for us. One of the few Airbnbs we’ve stayed at that truly felt like a home - not a staged house for renting. The groundskeeping crew was incredibly courteous and friendly, too.
