Swarapkuthi is a beautiful area. This villa is the perfect place to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Bangladesh. The house is clean and relaxing, the canals are beautiful, and the locals are all very friendly. Ish is an amazing host, going above and beyond to facilitate your stay and match your needs. He was incredibly thoughtful, helping me to both get from Dhaka to Swarapkuthi, and to my next destination. He also suggested and planned out great tours and activities for me during my stay (a tour of the nearby timber market, furniture makers, plant nurseries, the bazaar, and a boat ride through the canals). As well, the housing manager Liton is very helpful and accommodating. Would strongly recommend adding this location to your itinerary.

Ish's place is a very quiet and peaceful getaway. The housemanager and Ish were both very helpful and gave great suggestions for daytrips from the house. The food was also excellent. All in all a very relaxing experience!

Our favourite experience to date after 1.5 years living and travelling in Bangladesh. Liton bhai is a fabulous host and will be your fixer for trips around Swarupkathi. We enjoyed two afternoons on a boat, perusing floating markets and tributaries on either side of the larger river. Ish is remarkably always on hand via SMS with advice and to field any queries. His mother is a sensational cook and the local residents are extraordinarily friendly, treating us and our 3-year-old to multiple games of football and cricket. If this place were in India it would be world-famous.

Unser Aufenthalt bei Ish in Swarupkathi war wirklich großartig. Vor Ort kümmerte sich der Hausmanager Liton um uns auf aller bestem Niveau. Kein Hotel in Bangladesch kann solch einen Rundum-Service bieten wie hier. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und die Nachbarschaft sehr entspannt. Wir haben das Angebot für das Essen angenommen und es mit keinem Happen bereut. Jede noch so kleine Zutat war mit größter Sorgfalt und viel Liebe zubereitet. Es hat einfach köstlich geschmeckt und war sehr abwechslungsreich während unserer 7-tägigen Reise. Am Ende haben wir auch das Angebot angenommen eine Bootstour zu machen, besonders Wert hatten wir auf ein Boot ohne Motor gelegt, dies war kein Problem - und war ein sehr entspannender Auslug. Alles in allem konnten wir gut entspannen und die Gegend erkunden. Vielen Dank für soviel Gastfreundlichkeit und umsorgt werden! Gerne kommen wir wieder. Wir können es nur weiterempfehlen! Donnobat

Absolutely incredible experience — we truly loved every second of our stay here, and wish he had stayed longer (stayed 2 nights). Ish is not simply a host, he provided an entire experience. He helped us with everything including ferry tickets, excursions, recommendations, and more. We felt right at home, especially with Liton (who takes care of food, translation, and logistics on ground), who is a truly kindhearted human as well. And of course, the house is wonderfully located on the canal and surrounded by nature and village homes. A stunning setting. This was our favorite part of our trip to Bangladesh, and I recommend coming here to anyone considering it — you will get much more than you expect! Thank you to Ish and everyone involved for making our stay unforgettable.
