The house is very comfortable. We were 2 families and we have lot of space to enjoy our stay in Scotland. Many thanks for this welcome and the gifts.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Asheligh's house and on both occasions it has been absolutely fantastic. The first time was for myself and family to stay before my wedding at The Vu. This time was for a post Christmas get together for the family. On both occasions the house was absolutely perfect, and Ashleigh was fantastic, during the booking process, before arriving at the house and for making us feel welcome on arrival, with some lovely personal touches. The house itself was perfect for our family gathering, it went beyond how great it looks in the pictures, and had everything we needed. Great for adults, and amazing for the kids. The kitchen was a dream for making a huge dinner, very well equipped. We will definitely be back for another family gathering 🙂. The surrounding area is also very beautiful for walks etc, and plenty of options near by for drinks or food. This house is amazing 🙂.

Pros: - House was clean and some had been newly decorated. - Excellent garden for young children - Great playroom for young children - 15 minute walk to the palace Cons - House was very cold. It was snowing and the heating kept going off so we had to keep contacting the host which wasn’t great. - The beds were not really suitable for adults - upstairs main bedroom was the others were more suited to children. There was a small double but it was pushed up against the wall so was uncomfortable for 2 adults to share. - quilts were summer quilts which given the house was so cold was an issue. - not enough towels (mot everyone had a bath towel and there were no hand towels) - the house is meant to sleep 10 but only had a table & chairs. When we asked for more chairs were told to sit 4 people on the bar stools at the kitchen counter. We booked the house to catch up with friends so this didn’t work out well for us. - very few utensils etc. We had to go to the shops and buy knives etc

We had a great holiday. The house is very spacious, no parking problems, quiet area and great garden for the children. We used the train into Edinburgh several days, no problem parking at the station and a fast train service in. Other days we visited attractions near bye such as the Falkirk Wheel, The Kelpies and the zoo. Good restaurants in the town. Great stay.
