This cozy cabin sleeps 4 and is nestled in the hills of Lake Douglas. With mountain views and lake front access, you'll have time to relax, fish, boat, kayak and view the mountains from the back porch. 25 minutes from Pigeon Forge (Dollywood) and 45 minutes from Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountain Nation Park. There is no shortage of things to do in this area, but while you're back at the cabin, you'll be happy you chose Shady Shore. *The lake water level is low from Sept to March* This is a very open cabin with high wood ceilings and beautiful windows letting in lots of natural light. The back deck is where you'll spend a lot of time sitting on the log love seat rockers staring at the mountains and the night sky. There is a path down to the lake in the backyard. It's a steep walk down. You'll be able to fish and swim in the summer months when the water is at normal level. We have a fishing dock where you can sit and relax at the bottom of the hill. *The TVA lowers the water level of the lake starting in September and runs through March. The water will be gone in the winter months in our area of lakefront, however the views are still great!

Ryan’s place was extremely beautiful, with amazing views . He was extremely accommodating & even let us know about the northern lights that night ! The cabin itself was very clean & exactly how described . We will definitely be back .
Peaceful place to getaway
Really great place to stay with the family. Kids loved hiking around the bottom of the hill, looking for rocks and exploring. Kayaking was fun and the cabin was perfect distance from the local tourist traps. Great views and overall a great vacation
This is a great spot to stay near the Smokies without all the noise! Our family chose this stay over a hotel in the area and didn't regret a minute. Upsides: Quiet and private A lighter interior instead of the usual WOOD only Well provided kitchen Great deck area for outdoor relaxation Multicade upstairs for the kids Things to consider: 15-20 minutes just to get to hwy 411, plan accordingly! TVA reduces the water levels in lake Douglas so you might not be able to enjoy the water Not a ton of options in Sevierville for food (yet) The hosts were very responsive and helpful. The place was clean. This cabin and Dollywood were easily the highlights of our trip.
My fiancé and I had an amazing one week stay at Ryan’s cabin! The directions to get there were very easy, as was check in. The home was in great condition, very clean and accommodating. It was so peaceful and quiet! Bonus points, the sky is beautiful at night. We were able to spot many satellites in the nighttime sky, and a few meteors! It’s not often to get a sky view like that where we live. Ryan was very communicative, and responded to everything in a timely manner. One more thing, the roads leading up to the cabin are super curvy! Really fun drive. Thanks again!

This area of the lake is an absolute blast to drive. Please drive slow until you are more comfortable with the roads. There are many blind corners and elevations changes. If there is snow, you'll need to be very slow. An all wheel drive vehicle would be best in these conditions. It's about a 15 minute drive off of the main road where the closest gas station is.
There is ample parking in the driveway. We recommend an all wheel drive vehicle in the winter months in case it snows.
