Erika’s place is wonderful! Layout is great and super functional. It’s also very close to the beach and delicious restaurants. We’re looking forward to visiting again in the future!

I had a wedding to attend in the area and hotel rooms were going fast. Luckily, I found this spot just in time! Sea Glass Casita is such a fun, cute, and relaxing home away from home. I loved the simple and open layout of the place. It’s such a great location. 2 minute walk away from the local market if you need some groceries. About a 10-15 min walk to the the shops, eateries, and pier. The wedding I attended was on a ranch which was a 15 minute drive from this location. Such beautiful views! I highly recommend going down to the beach in the morning and driving up into the mountains and looking upon the reservoir nearby. Honestly, you will not regret booking this spot for yourself, you and another, or you and your small friend group/ family. Highly recommend. Would book again!

Erika cancelled our stay less than 24 hours before check-in time. We had booked her place for Cal Poly Graduation weekend when so many families are in town, so this cancellation caused us a lot of stress because very few alternative options were available then. Erika’s communication was extremely poor. Her profile said she responds within an hour, but our experience was very different: Eight days before our stay I messaged her to ask if we could check out 30 min late. She did not respond. I messaged her again two days later, no response. After the 3rd message another two days later, Erika finally responded. She accepted the late checkout and mentioned some issues with the main plumbing line. I understand that issues like that happen and are not into the host full control, but every day after she shared that information, I had to message Erika, sometimes several times, to get a status update. I wish Erika had been more responsive, and that she had not let us wait until the very last minute knowing that it was one of the busiest weekends of the year. Please note that I only wanted to rate the communication section but had to leave a rating for cleanliness, accuracy, check-in, location and value in order to leave a review. I was not able to experience any of them since the stay was cancelled by the host so I left 3 stars for each to be as neutral as possible.

We booked this place based on the pictures and reviews months ago. We were to be in the tiny town of Cayucos where supply for accommodation is limited for a wedding with an elderly and a small child. We paid in full. At 4:30 AM the day of check-in without any communication whatsoever the reservation was cancelled. Despite questions, I received zero responses. Airbnb HQ was more empathetic sending us links for options in surrounding towns. We were stuck having to find alternate accommodations literally last minute in the high season of June which cost us a lot of money and hassle. Realise things come up, but day-of cancellation and ghosting/zero communication is not how you should treat people or run a business.
