Embarrassing situation! I brought a group of friends to this location for a relaxing vacation. The inside of the house was dirty; in the kitchen, there were dirty dishes put away into the cupboards, we had to wash every dish that we used and there was unidentifiable food in the refrigerator. Dog hair all over the living room floor, with no broom so we couldn’t even clean it. Both bathrooms were dirty, with zero amenities, no wash cloths and no type of cleaner to allow us to even clean it ourselves. The dining table was ridiculously small, laughable actually. The sliding doors to the deck are almost impossible to move. Worst of all were the bedrooms, the beds were squeaky and very uncomfortable. Two of the AC units only worked sporadically. *As an FYI to the next renters, there are no amenities at all in this unit. Salt and pepper are the only things in the kitchen. An old tube of Neosporin in the bathroom. BYO Everything. I wish I had known.

A great vacation spot! This was our second time renting this property and we had a wonderful time yet again. So relaxing and peaceful. We rented a 20ft boat from the local marina for our stay and we were able to navigate in and out of the inlet. There’s a local country store located nearby for groceries and other supplies. Great fire pit. Elaine is always responsive if needed. Easy check in and checkout.

Stay was disappointing for how much we paid. Place has potential but hasn’t been updated in years. Screen doors repeatedly ripped open, the sliding doors barely slide (handle broke off too), bathroom door completely fell apart. There’s a septic issue. Leach field doesn’t function. Toilets struggled to flush (we followed the rules), could smell sewage. Was only 3 of us for most of the stay. In laws (4) came for just 2 days. The place has 8 guest capacity so that shouldn’t have overwhelmed the system. Not very clean - hair and soap scum in shower, dried toothpaste on sink/in cabinet, coffee pot+oven crusty and brown, ants. Amenities were lacking. No dish soap, two TP rolls, and we each got one towel for 7 days. Not enough indoor seating for guest capacity. Outside seating was lovely. “Private beach” is a sandy spot in standing water you can’t swim in. We had a 20’ pontoon boat, couldn’t get down the road, and canal is ROCKY. Don’t rec if u have a boat. Elaine was responsive/nice tho.

We loved Elaine's house. We enjoyed sitting on the large porch and taking the kayaks out on the lake. There are mallard ducks that live in the area and they were so much fun for my daughter to watch. The inlet they live on is a quick paddle from the larger area of the lake where we could swim. The inside of the house has everything you would need for a stay. It was clean and neat and not cluttered. We were grateful for the A/C at night because the weather was so hot and rainy but the house stayed relatively cool and comfortable during the day. There are beautiful tree-lined roads to walk or run on and the house is located a quick drive from things to do in town. And there were a TON of blueberries on the bushes lining the roads near the house.
