Our hosts were wonderful! Cottage is great, good location to visit other attractions such as Norfolk Outlet Mall,GoKarts, Aquarium and of course the beach. The walk to beach entrance is very short but for Grandpa and I the long walk across sand to the water was a little difficult … We do hope to come back!

The house was fine and was well located since we were there for an event which was held at the Wyndham. When we got to the house it was 61 degrees. I immediately reached out since the heat was not working and it was 45 degrees during the day. We all froze until the issue was resolved about 30 hours later. The worst part was that when we woke up in the morning so cold, we were dying for warm coffee, but the coffee maker wasn’t working!! I reached out and the owner made suggestions for fixing it, to no avail. He came over to check the heat and coffee machine, but couldn’t fix either. He went to the store and returned with a new coffee machine in late afternoon, after we had to find coffee elsewhere (even though we bought coffee, creamer etc.). Eventually both issues were resolved and everything else was uneventful. I reached out and asked for a small discount considering it was quite uncomfortable for over 20% of the trip, but they said this just comes with the territory. Disappointed.

Oh my goodness! We feel like we have found our favorite home away from home. Sara and Daniel's cottage was incredibly clean, exactly as they pictured and described and prime location to the beach for my husband who has cancer and low stamina. Every room was uncluttered, thoughtfully equiped and logically laid out. We travelled with our two children and allowed each to bring a friend. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and the attached utility shed had everything we could have asked for (beach chairs, beach cart, coolers, play sand toys for younger children and even a carseat!) The side and back patios were perfect for our paddle, surf and skateboards. We used the hose and outdoor shower every day. There is also a beautiful outdoor dining area, gated in the front. The location to the beach could not have been better for my husbands needs, bathroom trips, cooler reloads or just second trips. This house is a hidden gem of Va beach!!! We cant wait to come back!

We had a wonderful month stay. There was a hiccup at the beginning, we were notified that the a/c unit was broken and they were waiting on a factory warranty replacement, which took a week. The hosts were very upfront, added window units to get us through the July fourth weekend. The top floor was too hot for our family, but we were given a partial refund for the time without a/c. All in all, its an adorable beach cottage. We will be back.

Couldn’t have asked for a better beach cottage! It was clean, spacious, and we absolutely loved the giant table where you could have as many as twelve people dine. Great location right across the street from the ocean.
