Set on the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Slide Ranch combines breathtaking natural beauty with a down-to-earth vibe. In addition to weddings, the site is well-suited for retreats, corporate workshops, family reunions, birthdays, and bar/bat mitzvahs. Slide Ranch is located just north of Muir Beach on Highway 1, just 30 minutes north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Our main mission here at Slide Ranch is "Planting Kids in Nature Since 1970". We cultivate healthy bodies and minds and foster future generations of environmental stewards. By farming, cooking, caring for animals and exploring wilderness and the coast, we teach people of all ages to see the connection between their own health, a healthy food system and a healthy environment. Slide Ranch serves approximately 10,000 visitors each year, primarily from San Francisco, Marin County and the East Bay. Yearly, up to 5000 Participants from nearly 100 different schools and community organizations take part in our Summer Camp, School and Community Group programs, Family Programs, Special and Volunteer Events and Site Rentals such as weddings. Slide Ranch ensures that our Group Programs are accessible to people of all backgrounds. We subsidize all programs, raising financial resources to serve low-income communities. We also provide additional financial support through sliding scale fees for school and group programs as well as for our Family Programs and Summer Camps. Today more than 70% of our Group Program participants are from low income communities. In the last few years, over 2,000 people per year participated in our Family Farm Programs and more than 1,500 hiked and explored our farm and coastal wild lands on public access trails of the GGNRA. Approximately 700 children attend our summer camps. More than 1000 volunteers work in our organic garden and maintain Slide’s trails and beach access. Please note our glamping is a breathtaking rustic area next to the ocean with no showers.
