Our stay at Ty Trol was wonderful! The cottage is in the perfect location not too far from the village of Dolgellau where there are shops and places to eat. The location of the holiday cottage is secluded enough for a cosy escape but not completely off the beaten track. The cottage itself was idyllic and spotlessly clean on our arrival. Robbie and Richard have thought of everything, fresh cut flowers and a gorgeous vicky sponge to useful information folders and amenities. I particularly loved reading up on the history of Gwanas Fwar in the book they have put together. Also being an animal lover, having a little visit from the cat each evening was great. Robbie and Richard were great hosts, friendly and helpful and have clearly put a lot of love and thought into the running of their holiday cottage. We would love to come back, perhaps when a little less rainy!

We absolutely loved our stay in Ty Trol. The cottage is beautiful, spotlessly clean, extremely cosy and well equipped…Robbie and Richard have thought of everything! It’s a really wonderful place to spend time, whether listening to the birdsong, hanging out in the paddock or playing table tennis in the long barn. It’s the perfect location to explore the beautiful surrounding area, with endless lovely walks on the doorstep and within easy reach. Robbie and Richard are very warm, friendly and welcoming host. It’s a really special place and we’d love to return again and again!

What a beautiful, wonderfully curated space, everything you could possibly want of need has been thought of and is at hand. Perfectly warm and cosy on the winter nights with a gorgeous log fire and central heating that took away the chill of hours of walking in the mountains. The location is ideal, rural enough that light and noise pollution don't exist and yet close enough to Dolgellau that on the occasion we needed last minute supplies it wasn't inconvenient. Our hosts were similarly wonderful, kind, helpful and always approachable without ever detracting from our privacy. I spend on average 10 months a year living in hotels and air bnb properties and this is without a doubt one of the finest most welcoming places i have ever stayed. I cannot wait to book again.
