We stayed for a week at La barn the Papi Jean. The gite looks great and has recently been renovated. The interior looks both pristine and cosy. The gite is close to all the major attractions in and around Verdun. The cathedral, several forts and the Memorial are all somewhere between 10-15 minutes by car. Jocelyne and Regis are lovely, welcomings hosts. As an added bonus, they have several horses on site. Our youngest was able to help at the stable several times. She really enjoyed that. The gite next to ours was vacant for the first few days. The last two days it was occupied and we noticed that the walls are fairly thin. We could hear our neighbours talking, walking around and using the stairs. For us it wasn't a big deal, but it might be worth knowing if you are senitive to that kind of thing. All in all we had a great time! Thanks Jocelyne and Regis.
