This was the second time my friends and I booked this beautiful property for our yearly snowboarding trip. it's such a large and beautiful place that it will make it hard to ever want to go anywhere else. The host is very helpful and always makes sure that you can find your way. I highly recommend booking here if you are thinking about visiting this area.

A wonderful winter get-away! This cabin is right on the Lake Superior shoreline and less than a 5 minute drive to the Porkies state park! We had easy access to go downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. The home is large, but has a very cozy feel. The fireplaces were a nice touch and the sauna was lovely! Emju was incredibly responsive and reached out several times to ensure all was well. The kitchen was well stocked, plenty of bedding options, and bathrooms were clean and had plenty of supplies. There were very clear instructions for everything we needed. We would highly recommend renting this place and would love to return someday!

The place was awesome! Super comfortable and cozy for our group of eight. We initially planned on skiing, but there was no snow. Emju was incredibly kind and proactive as a host. She offered us to reschedule since there was no snow, but we wanted to come any way! She gave me some ideas of things to do and places to hike instead. She made sure we knew she was available if we needed anything, and even allowed us a flexible checkout time since there weren’t guests immediately following our stay. We enjoyed using the sauna, and we loved the main floor layout with the kitchen/dining/living room area. It was a great set-up for playing games, watching movies together, and having dinners. The cabin was super close to the ski chalet and Lake of the Clouds hiking area. This was a great stay! I highly recommend booking!!

We enjoyed our time at the Hermitage. Although we were hoping for snow, it was still peaceful and a nice time away after the holidays. Emju was accommodating and helpful throughout the process. We would definitely return (hopefully with some snow)!

We had a great stay for our big group! The house is exactly as pictured. Very spacious and cozy. We loved having a fire both outside and in. The sauna was great too! The host is extremely kind and helpful and was always available for questions.
