The Villa was filthy on arrival and we spent the next day cleaning. Martin told us he knew it wasn’t to standard but the owner had been staying there and they didn’t get the house back in time to check. On day three we had a full clean. The Villa is so run down, the furniture is all old, broken, stained, ripped and in parts dangerous with exposed metal bars on daybeds. One bathroom had no door and a hole in the floor. The handles from the door were left on the floor with screws hanging out. One bedroom door had no latch at all and didn’t close. Two air cons didn’t work and were replaced quickly with moveable units but that then left windows open for mosquitos. Toilet roll holder fell off wall when touched, light switch was loose, front door hard to open and close, sofas ripped, leather peeling on chairs and stains on furniture! Not luxury not close and not worth anywhere near the money. Martin was helpful at first but when we raised all issues he then never got back to us.

Had an absolutely brilliant stay here with 11 others and honestly the photos don’t do it justice, the place is stunning! Martin is also such a great host and was a pleasure to deal with. I think we will be coming back at some point as Benahavis is just an incredible place full of such welcoming people.
