Byron Bay is a coastal town located on the far-north coast of NSW, Australia. Home to Australia’s most easterly point and the iconic Cape Byron lighthouse, the region is known for its spectacular beaches, surfer vibe culture, unique shopping and dining experiences, world-class festivals, and vibrant community spirit.
Byron Bay has a lively calendar of events and festivals including the markets on the first Sunday of each month. We are host to some of the biggest festivals in Oz such as Splendour in the Grass (July), the fabulous Bluesfest (Easter), Byron Bay Writers Festival and Byron Bay Surf Festival (May) – just to name a few. Don’t forget about our very famous lighthouse.
Every day’s a new day, and every day’s a new adventure when you head out to explore Byron’s surrounding towns. Take a drive through the lovely hinterland to visit towns such as Mullumbimby, Bangalow, Federal or Nimbin. Visit one of our local coastal towns such as Brunswick Heads, or Lennox Head.
Byron Bay is big on health and quality, and the local eateries reflects this culture. Our town focuses on farm-to-fork and paddock-to-plate concepts. Almost every eatery and cafe proudly state they use the freshest produce from a multitude of local farms.
You can ride the world’s first solar powered train that’s as cool as it is environmentally friendly. Inside, you get to lounge on leather seats as the train cruises through a scenic 3km coastal track, which stretches between the town centre and the Arts and Industrial estate which has an eclectic mix of clothing and homeware stores.
There is so much for everyone in the Northern Rivers region and you never know you may even bump into a Hemsworth or other celebrity or two.

The best way to explore Byron and get to the beach is to walk. We are located in the best position for you to do this. We have undercover parking onsite for hotel guests. Please note there is a 1.9m height limit.
