I stayed at Mary’s place for an extended stay of two months. I’m local to Santa Cruz and knew exactly what a great neighborhood this is, so no surprises here. For anyone coming from outside, this place is ideally located for a host of activities. You have proximity to several beaches, Seacliff, Rio Del Mar, Beercan, and Manresa offering you everything from beach walks to great surfing. Nisene Marks is close with lots of trails to walk or Mountainbike. Santa Cruz downtown is a short drive away where you can enjoy shopping, the boardwalk, bowling and much more. A short drive from the house you find plenty of grocery stores, Companion Bakeshop, Cat & Cloud coffee, and lots of small, local stores. The neighborhood is quiet, you can park right at the house, you got an awesome backyard with fire pit, BBQ, a great kitchen and every amenity you need for your stay, short or extended. Checkin and communication is fantastic, too. Highly recommended.

This house was in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood minutes from the beach. The house itself exceeded our expectations in terms of space and functionality. And Mary was extremely friendly and responsive! We definitely enjoyed our time here, and would highly recommend Mary's place if you're in the area!

The house was lovely and much nicer and larger than it appears in the photos! Their Backyard is amazing! We had a fire out there almost every night! We were very comfortable with our family of five- including three young kids. It’s a nice quiet little neighborhood as well. Very responsive hosts too. Kitchen is well stocked with cookware spices and knives too. A couple things to note- because the house is only offered as a long-term rental (we stayed a month) I thought it was missing a few key items that would have made it a bit more comfortable. I’ve communicated these to the hosts and ill bet they’ll procure them. Also, keep in mind that even though it may may be only two blocks to the beach- it’s a solid 12-15 minutes, and not accessible with a stroller due to many steps. Other than that, it’s a great spot! Definitely value for the money. We will certainly cherish the memories made here!

Nicely renovated property, 10 minute walk to the beach (via stairs). Great communication from host. Comfortable beds and nice back yard.
