诺福克(Norfolk) · 整套联排别墅 · 1室2床1.0卫 · 可住4人 · Quirky open-plan house with large garden
Set in a quiet, friendly street off the main road, this bright, airy home is just a block away from one of Norwich’s best loved real ale pubs, and an all day restaurant with a mouth watering menu! It's a 20 minute stroll to the heart of our historic city center, and a short walk to the River Wensum where you may spot the elusive otter! Marriott’s Way and Wensum Park are also close, and Earlham Cemetery, where you may see Muntjac deer at dusk, hedgehogs, squirrels, and a variety of birds. Our open-plan home is a newly modernised semi-detached Victorian terrace house. Recently added windows, skylights and multiple plants create a bright and cheerful atmosphere. There is a double bed upstairs in the front bedroom and a sofa bed that pulls out to a double in the living room area. There is a rustic table to dine or work at, a study area beneath the stairs, plenty of electrical sockets to plug laptops and phones into, and a good wifi connection. It is equipped with a stylish shower room, and an attractive kitchenette with dishwasher. At the end of the house large bifold glass doors open out onto the patio and garden - a quirky and magical space to enjoy a summer BBQ. The open-plan design of the house allows an excellent view of the garden. Blackbirds and bluetits nest in the ivy along the old garden wall. The garden is also visited by a pair of nesting pigeons, two of the neighbourhood cats - Sox and Nellie - and an occasional squirrel. Ps: You may notice previous reviews refer to the property as a studio? This is because since we have recently completed additional renovation work, we are not just listing the ground floor anymore, but now listing the whole house with a newly decorated upstairs front bedroom. There have been many changes to our home during the last year, and though this is still a work in progress, most of the things that were previously unfinished, have now been completed and are brand new! We hope you love the space as much as we do.
This is a lovely Airbnb - very convenient for the city centre and with an excellent pub and restaurant on the doorstep. The space itself is great. We really enjoyed our stay.
We had a great three-night stay in this nice comfortable house in a quiet area with nearby shops, pubs and restaurants (The Fat Cat is a must for anyone who likes real ale) and easy access to the city centre - and it’s only a few minutes’ walk to our daughter’s flat, so we shall certainly be back if we can!
We had a lovely stay at Samantha’s place. The house had everything we needed and the place was immaculate. Thank you for hosting us!
It was a lovely space . Really loved the decor design and lay out . Very modern . Reallt good value for money . We will definitely stay here again .
Very nice house, I and my partner both felt it had a nice vibe. Hippy style in a good way. Low Ikea type futon bed, but comfortable. House at a good cool temperature, central heating controller available and worked fine. Fantastic shower with loads of hot water, and very clean. Good kitchen with plenty of spices, oil etc available (...not that we cooked much on this occasion, we did make real coffee (provided) and toast). Good natural light in the house from clever use of skylights. Nice garden. Quiet street with a great cafe serving good homecooked food long hours just at the end of the street, leafy park opposite. Host very helpful, good clear instructions, everything worked OK. Many thanks, we had an enjoyable trip to Naarritch :o)
Quiet neighbourhood with friendly neighbours and a small park across the street.
The River Wensum, Wensum Park and Marriott's Way are a short walk if you exit the house to the right. Try the Gibralta Gardens pub for a riverside beer garden in summer. Or the famous Fat Cat pub, and busy Dereham Rd leading into the city center, are a short walk if you exit the house to the left.
Free on street parking, although with an infant and primary school close by, school pick up and drop off times can get busy. You may have to search about a bit for parking during these times, but it soon clears
Norwich always has a holiday feel to me, even after living here for years. The historic buildings and cobbled streets bring a romantic atmosphere. During the summer months, the city is alive with free street entertainment and summer fayres - whereas the winter is cosy, with seasonal entertainment in the Catherdral grounds, in front of The Forum, at Chaplefield Gardens, or in the many churches converted to live venues or vintage and antique markets.
