Maria's rental was beautiful and in a fantastic location. We loved the neighbourhood and the rental was peaceful. The price was also fantastic. My only issue with the rental experience is that Maria did not message me with instructions to find the rental, or how to get into the rental. We arrived shortly after check in time after I messaged her twice, asking for instructions and receiving no reply. We roamed the town for about 30 minutes in the rain before asking a random passerby if they knew where an Airbnb was located in the town. She led us to a house that had the name of "Casa Castello check in' which turned out to be owned by Maria's mother, thankfully. She contacted Maria who finally met us outside and led us to the rental. I want to make it clear, this did not by any means ruin the trip, it was just a minor annoyance and worry at the time, which had me considering other rental alternatives out of town. I'll have photos added on G oogle to help other renters with finding it.

Hallo Maria AntonIetta. Nachdem ich zweimal angefragt hatte, was ich bei der Ankunft beachten muss wurde uns von dir mit drei Ausrufezeichen markiert geschrieben, dass es sich um ein "Self Check-in!!!" handelt. Selbst als ich dir kurz vor Ankunft noch einmal telefonisch nachgefragt habe wie der self- Check-in nun funktioniert, bekam ich von dir keine Antwort. Ich habe dich auch darüber informiert, dass wir kein Italienisch sprechen jedoch Deutsch, Französisch, Spanisch und Englisch. an der Burgmauer angekommen,stand ein mir unbekannter alter Mann vor uns und machte uns mit Handzeichen irgendwieklar, dass wir ihm folgen sollen. Da du uns gesagt hast es wäre ein self check-in wurde mir erst beim Betreten der Wohnung Wohnung klar dass dieser Mann uns helfen wollte. Auch hast du uns am nächsten per WhatsApp mitgeteilt dass während der Gronau Zeit weitere Gäste kommen sollten. Ich kann damit leben, ob es gut ist noch weitere Gäste in diese sehr kleine Wohnung mit wenig Lüftung zu bringen, will ich nicht beurteilen. Da gibt es aber Verbesserungspotential! Ansonsten entsprach die Wohnung denn Beschrieb. Das Schlafzimmer ist am Tag als sehr dunkel, quasi finster zu bezeichnen. Abgesehen vom missglückten Check-In hatten wir eine sehr gute Zeit in der Wohnung und genossen die Lage in der Stadt sehr! beste Grüße Guido und Rita

Rocca Imperiale è un paesino meraviglioso e da Maria Antonietta c'è un'accoglienza particolare: tutto nuovissimo,pulitissimo,curato nei dettagli! Sì fatica un po' a raggiungere il BnB a piedi perché Rocca imperiale è così..tutta in salita ...ma ne vale davvero la pena: ti accoglie una piazzetta deliziosa,ventosa e panoramica e M.Antonietta con la sua gentilezza e la sua abbondante colazione! Consigliatissimo!

Maria was a great host. We were travelling by motorbike and our check-in was very delayed. In addition, we could not inform Maria from the road. Nevertheless, her dad waited for us to arrive and on the spot, despite the delay, tried to explain and showed us everything. Maria also prepared a special - not sweet - breakfast for us, for which we thank her additionally! It is also worth mentioning that the accommodation itself is special - you can feel as if you have gone back in time a few hundred years. In none of our other accommodations - and there were several, as we travelled all over southern Italy - was it so pleasantly cool - the thick stone walls turned out to be better than the best air conditioning (of course, also available). The whole place was very clean and modern. Rocca Imperiale is amazing!
