From the airport, you can hire a car or book in advance online. The airport is located about 5 km from the island's capital Arrecife (LZ-2), about 14 km from Costa Teguise (LZ-3) and 33 km from Playa Blanca (LZ-2).
- Bus: Buses (here called guaguas) are the only means of public transport in Lanzarote. It is a cheap and environmentally friendly option, but has some limitations. They only connect the main towns on the island, so you won't be able to access many interesting places that are off the beaten track.
