It’s a beautiful cottage with a nice Interior and view. All clean rooms and space. It’s a bit challenging getting there by car and the weather didn’t help but we managed to get there. We ran into issues as a storm hit where we did the best of the situation and luckily it passed after a while.

Wonderful location and scenic drive to get there through amazing countryside - obvious massive fire damage in the whole area 2019/20, so must have been hard times there, but good regrowth now. The whole place was obviously very much loved once but is a bit neglected now, for whatever reason... - the inside of the cottage was clean (except a mouse issue in the kitchen) but in daylight the outside - even just around the front entrance/fire pit area - really needed a bit of TLC (sweep, rake, prune) to make us feel like we were actually paying guests. Various other little repairs would have given a massive increase in good vibe. (dripping gutter, obstreperous gate). The inside of the property is great for comfy hanging out in front of the wood burner (loads of wood), lots of books, DVD's, quirky interesting objects. Outside is good for sitting at the fire pit watching stars, sunset. Amazing place for all that - no noise or neighbours to speak of... lots of other old existing accom immediately behind the cottage is currently out of action?... would be very annoying and noisy if they were occupied by the dozens? of others that there is room for, but wonderfully peaceful without. Things to take - paper/firelighters for fires. Dunns Swamp amazingly beautiful for kayaking - we brought our own along as the hire outfit only run there in park/hols. That area of National Park gorgeous in it's own right. So, a great location but the place is somewhat shabby and past it's peak on the outside, but good for that as no-one else there.

Our experience at Above the Clouds was great, from settling in to the well appointed rustic cottage set from a great vantage point on Nullo Mountain where we were able to admire the impressive panorama across the valleys and hills below. We enjoyed all aspects of our stay.

A lovely quiet spot, with a slightly ramshackle feel. Wildlife right near the cottage- we spotted a number of wallaby from the window, goanna and lots of birds, and the occasional snake in the garden. The kids loved the use of the pool room, set away from the cottage.

We absolutely loved out stay at Above the Clouds. away from all the hassle & clutter. we loved every minute of our stay & the ambience at the accommodation. 12/10. would definitely recommend and would visit again if I get a chance.
