Every new country that I visit I try to get an airbnb and if it’s amazing I added to my list of places to stay, because if it’s amazing I’d rather not try a new spot you know. Well this one is top tier and will definitely be my stay of choice when I return. Wow! The proximity to the beach is just perfect and the actual condo it’s self was the perfect size for myself and two friends. Any questions that we had Jo and reception were readily available to assist and you just can’t beat that type of customer service! Thank you Blue Bay Resort and Jo for Your hospitality! I can’t wait to share this listing with friends. Overall: extremely clean, comfortable, cozy, quiet, safe, beautiful.

Loved the pool. Ocean snorkelling was very interesting, eels, schools of little fish. Lots to see.

Super verblijf gehad in The Shore! Het was ons eerst niet duidelijk dat we op een groot park (Blue Bay Golf & Beach resort) zaten en dat het appartementen complex the Shore heette, hierdoor ontstond wat verwarring bij het zoeken van het appartement. Jo had wel eens benoemd dat we in de Shore zaten maar op die manier had ik het niet begrepen, dat het complex zelf zo heet. Ik was op zoek naar ‘the pearl of blue bay’ 😅 Gelukkig had ik een telefoonnummer van Jo en Jo was makkelijk te bereiken waardoor ze ons fijn heeft geholpen. We waren echt blij met dit park, super mooi en netjes. Het appartement was ook echt prachtig, we hadden zoals op de foto het appartement beneden (hier specifiek om gevraagd). Dit is ideaal waardoor je met 5 stappen bij het zwembad staat. Ondanks dat je zo dichtbij het zwembad zit heb je genoeg privacy op je eigen terras, ook is het helemaal niet druk bij het zwembad. Achter het zwembad ligt vrijwel gelijk het strand, erg fijn strand met een bar en restaurant, hier hebben we veel gebruik van gemaakt. Op het park zelf, bij de receptie zit ook nog een restaurant. Voor de rest heb je wel echt een auto nodig, dit is sowieso aan te raden als je naar Curaçao gaat. De mensen van de receptie waren heel fijn te bereiken via whatsapp bij vragen. Echt top. We komen graag nog eens terug in dit prachtige appartement. Hopelijk tot snel!

Our Stay at the Pearl of Blue Bay was great. There are a couple of details that are being overlooked which would move this place from great to spectacular! First of all, I want to say that the ladies at the reception, Rubina, Yvette and Gili, are fantastic! They were so helpful all the time. This place needs a house-manual which will explain things to renters such as the fact that the kitchen drawers are double (It took us two days to realize that) necessitating us to buy a cutting board because we could not find one! It may also explain why there are 6 cutting boards in the hidden drawer! The appliances are also European meaning lots of use of symbols for settings that most Americans are unfamiliar with. The provided Nespresso machine is practically worthless as all the coffee cups are too tall to fit under it and the provided pods are for a different machine (they don't fit). During our stay, the dryer did NOT work despite what the repair person said, It would start normally heating and stop at around 5 minutes. The few bits and pieces of laundry we had to do had to be out to dry outside on the dining chairs. The pillows on the beds are almost as hard as rock and very uncomfortable. Some of us had to resort to using a rolled up beach towel as the pillows were providing neck pain. The towel service in connection with housekeeping on day 3 and 6 was inconsistent. Beach towels were replenished but not bath towels. And when bath towels were brought, we were told that no hand towels were available. The bath mats are also stacked together with hand towels...making them hard to see. They are necessary...especially in the bathroom I used (the one with the beautiful stone wash basin, which will literally flood the floor with water if a towel or mat is not placed by the entrance to soak water up. There are soap dispensers mounted to the walls in the bathrooms and not all had soap in them. We were told that providing liquid soap for hand washing is not included....a strange policy especially in the era of covid we are in. Finally, the bathrooms need towel bars in addition to the simple hooks AND there was no hook or towel ring for hand towels by the washbasins. We will definitely want to stay here again and recommend it. Again, a few small details that are missing that keep this apartment from easily being spectacular and hands down one of the best luxury places you can stay at in Curaçao.
