Take your cup of coffee to the solarium, where you can plan your day, whether it be skiing at Plattekill or Belleayre (15 min), hiking at the number of nearby trails. Mins from downtown Roxbury and Margaretville where you will find restaurants and shopping. The open floor plan space includes a propane fireplace for cold nights, leather massage chair to help you relax after hiking or skiing, smart TV with streaming capabilities, and a large couch to accommodate the whole family. Enjoy meals at the large dining table for 6. Enjoy the spacious kitchen, with everything you will need to prepare beautiful meals. Drip coffee machine, coffee grinder, soda stream, toaster oven, full size fridge, dishwasher, cookware and oven with electric cook top. No need to bring your own oil and spices. We have you covered. You will have a newly renovated full bathroom on each floor. The downstairs Queen bedroom includes a home office with monitor and HDMI cable. Bring your own dongle and work from home! High speed internet on a mesh network. Two upstairs bedrooms with ample closet and drawer space. Upstairs Queen bedroom also has TV with streaming device. **Recently added second work station in the solarium. Escape the city and enjoy the remote work from the mountains. You will have plenty of parking available in the driveway, plus one space in the garage. The washer and dryer in the garage are free for guests. Lastly, we welcome all well-behaved canines.

What a peaceful chalet in the woods! We felt like the pictures of the mountain views didn't do the actual view justice. The home was clean and tastefully decorated. We didn't have heat on the first night, but the fireplace alone kept us relatively warm. Evan was quick to respond and even the drove the 2.5 hours on a Saturday to come take a look at it for us. We loved having an air fryer to use in the kitchen and the separate workspace came in super handy when my husband had to take a few conference calls during our stay. Overall a wonderfully peaceful stay!
We had a wonderful and relaxing weekend at this location. The location was incredible with many local places to visit and the area around the house was spacious with incredible views. The house was perfect and pet friendly. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone looking for a nice getaway!

Evan and Lizzie’s house was lovely in every way. It was private (at the top of a hill with few neighbors), the large deck was a treat, and the outdoor grill was a big plus. We saw plenty of wildlife while staying here, but we were close enough to a few different communities that we were able to visit during our week+ stay. The kitchen was well stocked, and everything we needed was either out for our use or we could find easily in drawers. Towels and linens were clean, and I appreciated that there were dressers in the bedrooms, which may seem typical, but I’ve been surprised by the lack of this common “amenity” that really helps when unpacking for a longer stay. We reached out to Evan with a couple of questions, and he was responsive and quickly.
We couldn’t have asked for a more picturesque getaway in the heart of the Catskills. The Highland Chalet was perfect for our group, and Evan & Lizzie went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable stay. We spent most of our time taking in the stunning mountain views, which are even better in person than the photos suggest. We’d recommend this place to anyone in a heartbeat!

There is a lovely trail through the woods directly behind the house, plus many more in the area. Nearby restaurants include Chappies, The Old Mill, The Fierce Grizzly (serving lunch and dinner) and The Watershed (coffee and sandwiches) which are all a 12 minute drive in Roxbury. Drive to Margaretville (20 minutes) and you will find a full service grocery store, plus many more restaurants and shops. Yoga available at "PLaYCatskills, 12 minutes drive. 30 minutes away is the unique experience of "Rail Explorers".
Plenty of parking in the driveway (room for 3 cars) plus one spot in the garage. Must have a car to get around.
