Belle Fontaine was built around the year 1500 as part of the domain of the castle of La Roche Jagu (3km). The main house and the rented wing form an L-shaped building enclosing a garden, surrounded by orchards, fields, a small pond and woods. The wing can accommodate 5 to 7 people and consists of : - a bedroom (15 m²) with double bed and on-suite bathroom and toilet - a bedroom (25 m²) with 2 twin beds, a single bed and on-suite shower and toilet - a shower and toilet - kitchen equipped with electric stove and oven, micro-wave oven, refrigerator, washing machine, coffee-maker, ... - living room/dining room with 3-person convertible bed to accommodate 2 extra people

Nous avons séjourné chez Stéphanie en famille et nous sommes ravis de notre séjour. Stéphanie est charmante et pleine d'attentions. Les enfants ont clairement mené la vie de château et nous avons nous aussi eu l'impression de vivre la vie de châtelains. De plus ce petit écrin est idéalement situé afin de découvrir les différents sites. Je recommande vivement.

Stéphanie est une hôte discrète mais toujours là quand nous avons eu besoin de renseignement. Elle nous a indiqué des coin que nous n'aurions jamais trouvé sans elle et c'était magnifique. le logement est spacieux et très bien chauffé par de magnifiques radiateurs en fonte !!! Le cadre est magnifique et à pied il y a de multiple promenade à faire. Merci beaucoup pour votre accueil Cathy
Stephanie and Marcel stayed up late to see us into our accommodations after we spent all day driving from Germany. They also bought some groceries for our first morning, since most stores were going to be closed the day we arrived. Then when a storm made going back into town difficult, they shared even more food with us. They were very accommodating, helpful, and hospitable and their place is beautiful, quiet, and private. We hope to return one day!

The town of Pontrieux is 2 km away with its pretty streets, shops, restaurants, cafés on the port and marina. Nearby activities include the canoe-kayak club in Pontrieux, fishing and boat trips on the Trieux and hiking along the Trieux river (GR34A) and to the Roche-Jagu Castle. We also recommend trips to the Sillon de Talbert and the medieval town of Tréguier.
The train station of Pontrieux is 2 km away. To visit the region, it is recommended to have a car (or be an determined cyclist).

We are a Canadian and French couple and speak English, French and German. Former city-dwellers with grown-up children, we are very happy to have moved out of the city to the country where we have a big garden and a few farm animals (sheep and chickens). I have learned to become a beekeeper and presently have 20 beehives in the surrounding woods. We can usually provide honey and eggs to visitors.
