Port Stanley · 整套乡村小屋 · 4室5床1.0卫 · 可住8人 · Perfect location by the beach
This vintage cottage's location is amazing! There is a quiet public beach right across the street, the bustling main beach area down the road, and is situated right on a cul-de-sac where the traffic slows down, including the parade of convertibles and classic cars that make their way to Port on fair-weather days. You have easy access to all the hustle and bustle Port Stanley has to offer or you can stay in and enjoy the lake views from the two-storey sun porch with a drink or curl up with a book This is a 3-season cottage with many of its historic roots remaining. The checkerboard linoleum tile floor and old door fixtures tell a story of a cottage that has been here since the days of Glen Miller and Louis Armstrong’s visits to Port Stanley. It’s a small space with many windows to take advantage of the beautiful lake breezes and glistening views.
What a delightful spot! Cottage is small and quirky but has everything you need, and the location was excellent. Our family had a wonderful time and Evan was a proactive communicator.
Evan was an excellent host. Very informative and responsive. Evan gave local recommendations before arrival and during. This cottage had beautiful character and flair. My family and I really enjoyed our stay. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone stayingin Port Stanley.
This cottage is ideal for a Port Stanley holiday. It is far enough from the main beach to be private and quiet but close enough to walk anywhere you want to go (shops, restaurants, and landmarks). The hosts are friendly, helpful, and responsive. Comfortable and welcoming for all ages, we enjoyed our stay from start to finish. Very clean, comfortable beds and linens, many seating options, the whole place is charming and cozy inside and out. Close access to the gorgeous beach was ideal. Perfect if you have a dog, too. Exactly what we were looking for in a late summer holiday! Thank you!
Thank-you Evan for a lovely get away so that my husband and I could explore Port Stanley. Also thank-you for allowing pets so that we could bring our dog. Brilliant location and access to a very quiet beach was the highlight for us. Great restaurants and very friendly people in the boutiques. A very comfortable and enjoyable stay!
The picturesque village of Port Stanley has something for everyone. Head downtown to see the historic lift bridge operate or visit any of the quaint boutiques, art galleries and restaurants. You'll find everything from beach-fare to fine dining. Travel a little further afield to orchards, farm markets, and a near-by vineyard.
Port Stanley is a foodie's paradise with enough restaurants to keep you satisfied your entire visit; but, if you prefer a quiet evening at home, the cottage includes a galley kitchen and BBQ for your use. Dishes, cutlery, and cookware are all stocked in the cottage along with a full-sized fridge, stove/oven and microwave.
Bring your bike and enjoy cruising around the village or take a more serious ride on one of the designated bike routes leading out of the village. There is a paved bike route on the shoulder of Sunset Drive which will take you all the way to St. Thomas where you can connect with the paved rail trail system there.
There are so many things to do and see in Port Stanley! Play a round at one of several nearby golf courses, watch a live performance at the Port Stanley Festival Theatre, take the kids for a ride on the Port Stanley Terminal Rail, stroll the harbour at twilight, walk out to the end of the Port Stanley Pier, paddleboard down the Kettle Creek and so much more! We hope to see you in Port Stanley soon!
There are two parking spaces at the cottage. We share a driveway with the neighbouring cottage so make sure to tuck in behind the cottage or at the back of the property and no not block anyone in. If you need extra parking, it is allowed to park on the street overnight but not right on the cul-de-sac. Just go up the road a few houses and you can park on the paved shoulder. You can easily walk to the main beach area and the main pubs found on the west side of the harbour. The east side of the harbout where you'll find boutique shops and gourmet restaurants is a 1.5km walk. If you'd rather drive to the east side, there is 2-hour free parking on the street and plenty of space in the paid parking at Little Beach, at the end of Main street.

My wife and I love to travel and are now traveling with our kids. Experiences are so valuable and they expand our perspective. We're outgoing and find it easy to meet new people. Katherine works an office job for the municipal government and I work for myself as a piano tuner. As much as we love seeing all the varied places in the world, we also love coming home to our small town and our dog.
