From the moment I reserved through Airbnb, our host, Christie was amazing! She asked the name of my travel partner and if there was an occasion we were celebrating. Which turned into a personalized welcome letter in our room with wonderful suggestions for the area. She met us promptly at the house and took so much time to show us around and tell us all about the history of the house and why she choose Harpers Ferry to call home. She provided many excellent recommendations! The Maryland Heights trail she recommended was tough for this out of shape person but well worth the time and energy with beautiful views from the lookout point. We loved the town with all its history and charm and will definitely be back! We loved sitting on our porch with a glass of wine after a long day of exploring. The Barn which is 2 blocks away was great for live music. Christie you thought of everything and then some! Thank you for making our special weekend that much more special!

Christie was very helpful and provided so many detailed recommendations. I had researched some things but she told us everything we needed to know. We could’ve come clueless and still had a great plan based on what she suggested. The home was clean and quiet and walkable to the lower town/downtown area, as well as the trails and other sightseeing spots. We left our car outside the place and didn’t use it until we were leaving town. Definitely a convenient location to explore Harper’s Ferry from!

This was such a cute place for a weekend getaway. There is so much charm and history in one place. It was an easy walk to a delicious cafe for dinner and breakfast, as well as an amazing bread bakery. Our host also recommended The Barn for live music and drinks and it did not disappoint. And this was all before getting down into the heart of Harpers Ferry which is always lovely. You can’t beat the walkability if this place. Our host was so nice and responsive, she was willing to make recommendations and answer any questions we had. We will definitely be back!

Great place, and a great location. Walking distance to the shops and restaurants in Harpers Ferry -- though, be prepared for a steep walk back to the house -- and a short drive to Shepherdstown if you want to mix things up on a second or subsequent night. The place itself is great - nice sized room, very comfortable bed, and the screened in porch off the bathroom/shared kitchen really is a great place to enjoy coffee in the morning.
