It is a bit of an adventure getting there, but it is so worth the trip. We were immediately greeted by Wendy, Becky, Jill and Elan. Everyone was so helpful getting our cars unpacked and rooms situated. They had fresh salsa, guacamole, and chips waiting for us! It had been stormy before our arrival, so the ocean was murky, but it cleared up the next day. The water was clear and beautiful the rest of the time. The kids loved bouncing between the pool and the ocean. The kayaks were also a hit! There are plenty of places to sit/lounge around the property. It was great to start our days with coffee on the beach and end them with a cocktail at La Sirena (palapa bar just down the road). Wendy’s help was invaluable in arranging our daily activities. She helped us book diving, snorkeling, fishing, zip lining, mangrove tours, and wildlife tours. They were all amazing!! What really makes a vacation a vacation is not having to cook or clean. The meals that Wendy, Becky, and Jill made were delicious. We all agreed that we had the best key lime pie ever! There was always plenty of food for everyone and lots of options. On days when we would be gone for lunch they would offer to pack us one. All the communications with James and Wendy were great. The Covid testing was a well organized, and so handy to have the doctor come to the house! We will definitely be back!! Springwater Villa is a private condo surrounded by sandy beaches and clear water, relaxing deck chairs, and beach towels. The tropically inspired, British Colonial style villa was built by famed architect Hal Sorrenti and is fully equipped with a completely updated gourmet kitchen, patios, decks, a screened in sunroom/sitting area, and unique bedrooms with quality bedding and lots of pillows. Two of the 4 bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms, and the other two bedrooms share a large bathroom with double sinks and shower. The master bedroom boasts a king bed, ensuite bathroom with double sinks and a private deck with chairs overlooking the ocean. The family/dining room and all bedrooms have AC, ceiling fan, CO/smoke alarms and plenty of closet space. Bathrooms have soap, shampoo, conditioner and hand cream. Enjoy outdoor dining and happy hours on the deck overlooking the turquoise sea. Why not bring your whole family or friends. Or keep it all to yourself, as the Villa is rented out only to your group. And please note that if your group is less than 6 we will reduce the price accordingly. The Villa has a property manager that lives less than 3 minutes away that will give you the keys and the WiFi passwords and can answer any questions about the area. We can also provide transportation to/from the airport for a nominal charge and can recommend a rental car company. Our staff can also arrange for excursions in the area like fishing, kite boarding, snorkeling, diving, history tours, etc. Included are hi-def cable/streaming channels on the brand new 65" 4K TV, books and DVD's for all ages, fast Wi-fi enhanced by a fiber network, snorkel gear, kayaks, life jackets, puzzles, and games. At the end of your stay we present the bill for the electricity you use while there (you pay what we pay for the electricity you use), and any other requested services, and you pay with cash, pay pal or your bank's wire transfer. The Villa is a few minutes' walk of several great restaurants, and several other restaurants are 5-15 minutes away by vehicle. There is plenty to do in the east end of the island and on Camp Bay Beach - without the constant barrage of vendors that you will see at West End/West Bay. There are fun things to do in the area for all ages, and many places to visit for recreation, relaxation, history, hiking, sightseeing - and even live music that the owners enjoy. Our tap water is clean and good, but if you prefer bottled or commercial water we can arrange that for you. Guests will appreciate that Springwater Villa is in a safe, friendly area, with no buildings or inhabitants on properties to the east and west, and we practice proven sanitization methods prior to and during your stay. Before you arrive the entire unit is cleaned and disinfected, where major touchpoints receive extra attention. Although the villa is in a quiet and secluded area where you will likely not see another person during your stay, please note that the beach, like all beaches in Roatan, are open to the public. Please note the property is not really appropriate for babies or children under the age of 2, or people with mobility issues as stairs must be climbed to get to the condo. We also want to let you know that the area just off the beach has some turtle grass and good snorkeling is off the beach is on the left as you are looking at the water, near the rocks. The very best snorkeling is about a half mile out on the reef, which you can reach with the kayaks, but this is only recommended for good swimmers. For other snorkeling there are many great spots all around the island and we can provide information on those. There is a new full service PADI dive shop in the area and they can pick you up. Please ask about more information. ** The pools are in need of repair and will not be available for the immediate future - but this is not a construction zone. For this we are providing deep discounts on our nightly pricing to reflect our appreciation for your understanding. In addition, we will take your group to one of two very nice pools 3-6 minutes away. One of these is at a small private resort and we will provide the transportation - all at no charge. Both pools are much larger and nicer than the pool at Springwater and they have lounge chairs, shade, a shallow area for children, few if any insects, a swim up bar at one of them, and nice full-service restaurants and bars with friendly staff. Although these are not private pools there are usually not many people there (one is in a private resort). Most of our guests go to these pools 2-3 times since they enjoy it so much. In Addition, we will give your group up to a $150 credit for the first time you go to this resort pool since they will not allow outside food/drinks. For example, if there are 8+ in your group that all go to this pool we will give you a $150 credit for food/drinks while there; or if there are just 4 in your group we will give you an $80 credit for food/drinks there. Your receipt is required to receive payment. This property has 2 security cameras - one on an outside wall facing the rear entry off the deck and one on an outside wall facing the beach/ocean. Although they are rarely in recording mode, this video footage is not shared and is recorded for liability reasons in the cases of a break-in, death, injury, guests sneaking in pets, guests disregarding the maximum occupancy allowed, and in no way infringes upon the guests’ expectations of privacy in these areas of the property. Any attempt at disabling or obscuring the cameras is prohibited and may result in the guest being evicted without refund. If evicted, the full deposit will be forfeited. Please note that if guests leave the villa in a state that requires a deep cleaning, where significant extra effort is required to clean the property on departure, additional fees will apply. About 2-3 weeks prior to your arrival we will send you lots of information and ask about your group, any special requests, and your arrival times. During your stay we ask you to inform the staff or the owner about any issues as soon as possible so we can address them to make sure that you receive a 5 Star vacation.
