I stayed at Kurt's place to do some hiking in the area. The cabin was very clean and comfortable with a rustic charm. The location was private and quiet without being completely remote, along with being very central to nearby hiking spots including state parks and Allegheny National Reservoir and National Forest. There were plenty of amenities, and the stay was reasonably priced. Overall, it was a really great place to stay.

I love nostalgia and authenticity. This isn't a cabin made to appear old, you can see evidence of it's evolution from gas lit to electrified modern conveniences. Rustic ought not be perfectly square and plumb, but it should have an essence of solid permanence. This place checks those boxes. This is a night in the woods just minutes from Kane. Nice 30th despite three days of drizzle. Thanks Kurt.

Cabin is just as it is pictured. Kurt was incredible to work with and responded quickly to my questions and concerns. The back deck looks out to trees and was peaceful to sit under the covered roof during the rain in the morning.
