Carpet was filthy- many many stains , fresh and old Window crank was broken, window stuck open 3” on a 29 degree night

The beds were very comfortable. I requested a room with a fridge and was given one which was a nice surprise as it wasn’t listed in the amenities for my particular room. I had a little trouble unlocking my door but the host was friendly and responsive so I was able to get in my room within minutes of my arrival. The beds were VERY comfortable and the room was clean. Be careful stepping into the shower if you get room 14 because the tub is very slippery when wet. I hiked whiteface the next day (in winter) so I consider myself to be a strong, capable human. Step in slowly and you’ll be good! The view of whiteface out back was stunning and not to be missed! Thanks for the lovely stay.

The stay was nice, but not exactly what I was hoping for. It was very easy to find and very clear instructions as to how to enter and what was expected when we left. However, the description did indicate that they would clean the place to be next to spotless and I felt the bathroom could have been cleaner (the floors) and the carpet in the room was very stained (unsure of how clean it really was). I also had a legitimate concern with the heating system because even when we turned it off, it was 80° in the room after hours of it being off with a window open. I never got a response to my concern. I felt this was unprofessional considering we were uncomfortable at night trying to sleep when it was that warm in there and it would have probably been a quick fix if they had gotten back to us. I just felt that there wasn’t much concern for us as guests in that aspect.

We had a great time at our stay for a long weekend during the off-season in Lake Placid. The room was very cozy & cute, and in a great location- only minutes to Main St.
