Unplug , relax and get inspired by nature !! The Cabin under the Peppertree retreat got its name because it started out as the idea of the magical childhood experience you have when laying under a big tree canopy, gazing up daydreaming. It feels like you sleep in a greenhouse nestled under a tree. Its a tiny house glamping complex. Staying here will be a truly unique experience inviting you to relax, unwind and connect with nature while still being close to all LA has to offer. We build the little Cabin under the Peppertree and created more and more areas around it and it became a true retreat with an unique indoor/outdoor nature experience out of this world. It is located in the a very special little bohemian town. Topanga was an old meeting place for the Tongva People and has remained its magical feel and attracted and embraced many artists, musicians, creative holistic spirits, hippies, inspired nature lovers and a big international community over the years. The Cabin is a sort of a Tiny house compound and consists of a tiny 10 x 12 feet structure.There is a balcony deck in the front with a chair to hang out overlooking trees, part of the canyon and your private living area. You'e immersed in nature while being in a super comfy & cosy space. There are electrical outlets. and Wifi , a small cabinet and under bed storage. The bedding is European style with Duvet Covers which get washed each time. We provide you with 2 unisex bathrobes and towels. There are extra blankets under the bed. ( Update to Wifi May'22) we had a truck accident in the car taking down some lines. Wifi is working, but we now had a couple incidents where the wifi nodes had to be restarted - we assume it is that the signal after the accident is weaker- so far the company has not been able to fix this) There are steps and short pathways leading you to the lower living area/hangout area. A bathroom with shower, sink and proper toilet. A full outdoor kitchen with 2 burner gas stove, sink & fridge.We provide you with all essentials for meal prep. There also is a water kettle and a french press for your morning coffee. We provide you with Coffee & tea. There is a lounge area with coffee table, a table with 2 chairs for meals or to write your next novel :). A hammock is there swell :). All paths are lit at night. The Cabin has electrical outlets and wifi . There is no Ac unit :(, but there is always a nice breeze through the screened windows. The cooking is glamping style. Please be aware that this is build out of recycled wood so it has an old authentic character to it. The bathroom is exposed to the outdoors through a top side opening and a small slid at the bottom of the concrete pad, so there will be an occasional ant exploring, a leaf on the shower floor or similar....think glamping... Topanga is an amazing place and our street is a private street and the treehouse is in a quite cul de sac. It is still a super quite neighborhood and also there are only 3 houses in the street... but you could hear people on their walks and Thursday morning between 8.30 - 9.30 you'll hear the trash truck :(... We live on this 2.5 acre property as well and you might meet our 2 very nice black Labradors. There is another Airbnb in the 2.5 acres , but all area around the Cabin are absolutely private and is only your to use during your stay:). The other listing is called the Flying Pig Treehouse Oasis and you can request to book both places as a group). We kindly ask to observe quite hours ( sounds travel really well in this quite canyon) and enjoy the nature sounds of this place. Driving to the Cabin: The cabin is on a gated property. You will be provided with the access code and you’re the only one using this driveway during your stay. Please be aware that the driveway is paved but it is quite steep. You’ll have your own private parking very close to the entrance of the Cabin. The gate opens by itself when you exit. COVID 19 UPDATE: The Cabin and all surfaces are sanitized , all linens are sanitized in a 2 hour wash cycle and also all pillow insets & comforters washed . Our maids are vaccinated and wear masks .
