A Birders or nature lovers Paradise with irredescent Hummingbirds feeding on the balcony. A warm breeze massages you as the Caoni River flows gently below. This magical independent, self contained 2 bedroomed suite, in the heart of the Chocó region of Ecuador will recharge your batteries. Famous birding hotspots with over 400 species registered, within a 20 minute drive. You can also tube, kayak, cycle or visit the nearby waterfalls. You can take a chocolate tour at one of the local farms. You will have exclusive use of the suite with fully equiped kitchen, 2 bedrooms, a bathroom with hot water and very large terrace - dining area. You will be able to dine on the first floor spacious balcony overlooking the river, and the gardens, or spend the afternoon relaxing in a hammock with the river sparkling below. You can safely stroll along the riverside and see a variety of birds, orchids, wildlife. Or you can use one of the bikes and go cycling along the river. Caoni Riverside Suites has a carpark, for 2 cars. You will be staying in the Green Parrot (Loro Verde) estate, where you can safely stroll around the warm tropical neitherhood and take pictures of birds, or swim in the refreshing tranpsarent waters of the Caoni River. When the river grows you may decide to tube or kayak. You will have access to tubes for the river, at your own risk! You will also be able to rent a couple of bikes if you fancy cycling along the river.

El sitio es hermoso. El rio es increíble y esta al pie de la casa, con playa privada prácticamente. Se ven muchos animales y el clima es delicioso. Muy recomendable. Ya he ido dos veces y seguiré yendo. Julie es una excelente host.

Appartement en bas normal, par contre la terrasse de l'appartement en haut est très agréable. Pour les personnes au sommeil léger il est bon de savoir qu'il y a pas mal de coqs dans les environs...

"I want to disconnect myself from the city"... It's what I needed for a few days and simply, I couldn't have asked for a better place than Julie's to achieve that. Julie's instructions for our arrival were clear (we had no trouble arriving in a standard compact car) and there was always a great communication either with her or Jairo, like where to get great meals close by (10 min drive). Make sure to pack light clothes and repellent to make your stay relaxing, due to the higher humidity of the area. You'll get a clean, safe, comfy and relaxing stay, where little details are taken care of, so you'll feel in a cozy cabin with a magnificent balcony, enjoying a locally brewed coffee and hot breakfast in the morning... but most importantly for me, you'll get seduced with the whole composition of the spectacular views of the forest and the Caoni (literally right outside the backyard), mixed with the mesmerizing soundtrack of birds singing and water flowing.

Endroit parfait, en bord de rivière. Endroit calme. Les espèces extérieurs sont agréables. Julie est une hote attentive. Il est très facile de trouver la maison grâce à ses vidéos explicatives. Je recommende!

Close enough to walk to at least 3 restaurants and small shops. 15 minute walk or 5 minute drive to the town of Puerto Quito, where you will find any supplies you need, fresh fruit and vegetables, fish and meat and many more restaurants. 10 minute drive to the bird sanctuary Suamox, 20 minute drive to bird sanctuary Silanche, 15 minutes to Caiman waterfall, Piedra del vapor beauty spot, Macallares waterfall, Shishink waterfall where you can swim and relax.
