A Quintinha is set in the Alentejo region in the midst of the countryside yet only 15 minutes drive to the ocean and the surfing beaches. Our small farm is located close to Cercal do Alentejo, an enjoyable walk away, where all amenities can be found - cozy cafes, local restaurants, grocery stores, ATM, etc. The Nest is set on a hectare of land with private access and parking. Perched on the top of our land, the Nest is tucked under the trees and fully embedded in nature. A gentle walk (150m) past the chicken coop, along the organic veggie garden and through the small orchard, will take you to this charming location. Built with our own hands, the Nest consists of one large open space with a stunning view over the cork oaks and the hilly landscape of Alentejo. It features a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and bedroom space with double bed. Outside, the wooden deck shaded by a cork oak is the perfect place for outdoor meals and chill time. Only a few steps away, the private bathroom has a solar heated shower, sink and compost toilet. With the intention of preserving and regenerating its surroundings, A Quintinha offers a mindful and responsible stay. We use natural and eco-friendly detergents and soaps, recycle the grey water for garden irrigation and use solar energy to generate hot water. The Nest is the perfect getaway for nature lovers, outdoor adventurers and stargazers!

Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt bei Emma & Tom. Die Unterkunft war noch viel schöner als auf den Bildern. Jeden Morgen wurden wir vom "Gesang" der Tiere der Umgebung und einem wunderschönen Sonnenaufgang geweckt, den wir von der Terrasse aus beobachten konnten. Wir bekamen jede Menge Tipps für Aktivitäten in der Umgebung. Zwischendurch konnten wir frische Eier der Hühner probieren. Wir haben jeden Abend die Dusche im Outdoor-Badezimmer genossen. Es ist wirklich ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Vom tollen selbst gemachten Shampoo habe ich mir auch welches mitgenommen. Rundum war es ein sehr schöner und erholsamer Aufenthalt. Wir würden das Nest jedem empfehlen, der mal wieder etwas Zeit und Ruhe braucht und sich in Verbindung mit der Natur fühlen möchte.

Wonderful 'treehouse' on top of the hill in the backyard of Emma's & Tom's. I enjoyed the peace, with the sea and multiple beaches nearby (within 20 mins drive). The cabin has all the conveniences one needs, the seperate bathroom was quite a treat: to shower in the semi- outdoors with views of the countryside. Emma’s tips for the best restaurants, beaches and lessons/tours for stand up paddle were gold! Thanks Emma! Highly recommended!

The place is located on top of a little hill on the property of Emma & Tom. On the property is one more cottage they are renting out as well as their own home. Nonetheless the place is very quiet and private, located at the end of the land with an incredible view over the fields. The place offers everything you need and the kitchen can supply for cooking simple, easy meals. The surroundings offer loads of activities like hiking, surfing, yoga, horse riding, great restaurants and cafés. We really enjoyed our place and felt very welcomed by Emma. We also highly recommend the hand made shampoo bars ;)

The nest was really lovely and calm. Emma was super nice and everything was clean and cozy furnished. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend!

It is the perfect place for all water sports (surf, kitesurf, SUP) at all levels with uncrowded spots and unique views of the SW Alentejo Natural Park.

Local buses and Rede Expressos buses have a stop on the main square of Cercal.
Although, we do recommend renting a car to explore the coastline and surroundings.
