Alpenhaus' short drive from lifts/downtown location was convenient. The views were beautiful & hot tub great. The lodge had old world charm but was just that...OLD/antiquated, dusty & felt unkept. It lacked modern conveniences and had several maintenance issues: kitchen cabinet falling off, window handle fell off and wouldn't open, door locks were "push & turn knobs" which didn't provide a sense of security, fireplace lighters were out of butane, bed frames creaked, etc. The Driveway is VERY steep! A hairpin turn made it difficult to accommodate multiple cars/maneuver (even w/o snow). Uber driver wouldn't go down. The interior layout has no main floor bathroom & only 1 ensuite BA of 3 BR. Steep stairs and tight hallways, old carpets. Neighbor's scary unleashed Boxer visited daily growling, peeing/defecating on property! Lots of rules & addtl fees. Excessive clean up C/O instruction. We booked w/i 24 hrs. & stayed under 48 hrs. Paid ~$1,700/nt. We didn't feel it was worth $3K
Worth every penny
Our group had such a fun stay here. It was spacious, had beautiful views, and the soaking in the hot tub after skiing all day was a great way to end the day. The house is not directly on the bus route, but it's just a quick walk down the hill. Be extra careful if you're in ski boots, as it was icy!
Nomadness was responsive and attentive during our stay. House had nice views, fully stocked kitchen, hot tub, and very close to ski resort and downtown.
The pictures unfortunately are a misleading. Carpet stains all over. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom are atrocious. The pipes banged all night, something we were not told before we booked. Apparently there’s a note on the back of a paper plate attached to a wornout mattess that’s bungied to the wall. The downstairs toilet didn’t flush all weekend. We had bugs crawling through the basin of the shower. Was a real disappointment especially given how much we were spending per night during the off-season nonetheless. Would avoid
