The surrounding trails are perfect for adventurous hikers, while the charming village of Upper Dharamkot, with its delightful cafes, is just a 750 metres (15-20 minute) walk away. This location is ideal for those who enjoy exploring and walking in the beautiful natural surroundings.
PLEASE NOTE - We are NOT located in Kangra City, we are located close to Dharamkot, 5 kms ahead of Mcleodganj. The listing mentions Kangra because we come under Kangra District and Airbnb doesn't let me change it to Dharamshala or Dharamkot.

The Birdhouse Retreat is accessible by road, although the last 2.5 kilometers of the road is unpaved and has some narrow spots. Private cars, especially those with low ground clearance, may find it challenging to reach us. However, taxis are available on request to bring you up to the property and to take you wherever you want to go. The quaint cafes of Upper Dharamkot, just a 15-minute walk or 750-meter walk away, offer some of the best local flavors. Although it is possible to take a taxi till Upper Dharamkot and walk up to Gallu, we do not recommend it if you have heavy luggage as the trail is quite steep.
