fantastic little cottage, had everything we needed, most comfy bed ever, great hot tub in quiet garden and even left some wine and Welsh cakes. easy to walk into aberaeron and really couldn't fault the place. Helen was a fabulous host.
We had a lush stay at the cottage, it was very comfy and had everything we could’ve asked for including a welcome pack. Close to Aberaeron town for a nice walk and plenty of recommendations to eat and visit from Helen and Wyn who were so friendly and welcoming! We loved the occasional visits from their horse and dogs on the property, and of course the hot tub was lovely and clean. Thank you both so much.
What an amazing place to stay, high standard cottage with beautiful grounds stretching down to a river beyond a copse of trees. Hot tub is private with country views and lovely to have the resident pony walking past. A whole welcome pack of essentials and treats was provided too! There are 2 great walks from the cottage 20 minutes to Aberaeron along the river or inland to the national Trust site also along the river. This is truly the best Air B&B we have stayed in. Highly recommended 10 out of 10!. Thank you for a great long weekend 😊
We had the most wonderful stay at Helen & Wyn’s. From the moment we arrived everything was perfect. The accommodation was easy to find, and check-in was seamless. Helen was prompt to reply to any messages and Wyn was ever so kind offering a lift in to town and back on our first night. It is only a 10 minute walk into town which was a lovely walk on subsequent nights. The accommodation was very comfy and had everything you would need. There was a welcome package with some supplies which was very much appreciated. We LOVED the hot tub and the occasional visit from the family horse/dogs was lovely! The location was amazing and we enjoyed a costal walk to New Quay. There are some amazing places to eat in Aberaeron, make sure to book and also schedule in some fish & chips during your stay! Would definitely recommend & would love to visit again. Thank you both 😁
My self and my Partner stopped for a weekend get away and we both had a fantastic time! great place to stay fully reccomend this little heaven! Great points, the space was beautiful and clean, the area was night and cosy, the hottub was spot on 👌 cannot praise the saty enough and we are certain to return. If you want a great place with a hottub, lovely surrounding and a great host look no further!
Aberaeron is steeped in history, once being a major trading port. Many of the colourful painted houses were once owned by sea captains. Today, the town is the jewel of Cardigan Bay, priding itself in lively festivals, exhibitions, events and sporting tournaments. There is shopping, cafés and renowned restaurants to suit all tastes. Many wonderful cycle routes and walks are available, both coastal and inland, including the route that leads to the National Trust property of Llanerchaeron, a rare preserved example of an 18th-century Welsh estate. With the Heritage Coastline of Ceredigion stretching out in front of you, there are a myriad of places to visit such as New Quay, once frequented by famous Welsh poet Dylan Thomas, and thought by many to be the inspiration for his well known play Under Milk Wood, now more famous for its bottlenose dolphins. The pretty seaside village of Llangrannog, and the larger university town and resort of Aberystwyth. Other attractions within easy driving distance include the Rheidol Steam Railway, Devil’s Bridge, Cilgerran Castle, the Dolaucothi Gold Mines and the Cenarth Falls. Visit a gin distillery In the Welsh Wind at Gogerddan, or the nearby brewery Bragdy ar y Bryn. After a day exploring the wonderful sights, what better way to relax than to chill out around the appealing harbour, watching the sunset over Cardigan Bay and enjoying some local Welsh honey ice cream.
Within walking distance of Aberaeron and coastal path. Also close to Llanerchaeron. A car is needed to explore further, although the property is located close to bus route.
