We had a fantastic time at Medora Lake! This cottage is a peaceful escape in Muskoka. The private dock provided amazing lake views and wildlife watching. The cottage had everything we needed, and the sauna was a nice bonus. We loved the water activities - canoeing, kayaking, and paddleboarding. Weekdays were quiet and relaxing. Josh was a great host, and check-in was easy. I highly recommend this cottage for a 5-star nature getaway!

We enjoyed our stay. Everything was as listed. Well equipped cottage, 3 bedrooms with plenty of sleeping arrangements (2 rooms don’t have full walls, so good for parents & kids). We had fun canoeing, kayaking and paddle boarding. The lake can get busy and loud on weekend (motor boards, water skiing, etc) - but it was quiet and peaceful during the week. We loved seeing the turtles (everyday!) and some would even swim with us. Kitchen was very well equipped- including BBQ and there are two fridges:). I would not recommend this place for toddlers as it is on a hill with stairs. We did enjoy running on the forest roads. Stopped at the nearby cranberry farm for cranberry spritzers which were really good! Overall the experience was a 5/5!

Place is just as described. Arbnb app passes directions to G-maps incorrectly, enter manually! House - everything is new - high quality queen mattresses - washroom does not share a wall with bedrooms! - kitchen is well-equiped, good knives, cutlery, bawls, plates, mugs - 2 fridges - sauna is a place to warm up, not to sweat Outdoors - water is clean and warm (July) - canoes and kayaks are great - dock is clean and new - space around fireplace is ok for 4 ppl - sun is available till 2pm - lots of shade available any time of the day - some play space at the back of the house - swimming from the dock is perfect - entrance to water from shore is ok Area - pretty quiet: neighbors are seen (sometimes), but not heard; hwy can be heard, but not much; trains can be heard, but they are rare and are not honking (thank you CN!) - water skiing school across bay makes little noise as they train clients at the other side of the lake - lake is small for any boat traffic other than water skiing

This cottage is perfect for a quiet week up north. The location, the lake, the dock, the sauna, etc all make for a very relaxing trip. We had a wonderful time and will certainly book again in the future. 5 stars.
