Very stylish house with beautiful views. Comfortable & cosy. Have not stayed in Kingswear before but very easy access to Dartmouth & much quieter location. Lots to do around the area & coastal walks are stunning. Would highly recommend!

We had a fantastic 3 days in Kingswear and Dartmouth. Ivydale was beautifully presented and felt really homely. The views from both balconies were unbelievable!!! We would absolutely recommend Ivydale, and staying in Kingswear rather than Dartmouth, it has two great pubs a fantastic cafe, shop, post office and catching the ferry across to Dartmouth is so easy and exciting, adding to the fun of our stay! Not forgetting the Kingswear and Dartmouth Steam Train. Amazing views on a 25 min trip to Paignton. Thank you Sarah for your great communication ensuring we knew everthing we needed to prior to our stay and for the restaurant recommends! We hope to stay in Ivydale again sometime and take in those views once more!! Lee

We rented this house for my birthday weekend. It was perfectly located close to the ferry over to Dartmouth and 2 pubs in walking distance. It has amazing views of the river and Dartmouth college. The house is very comfortable, stylish and clean. We loved the top terrace and sitting room. Perfect place to celebrate and drink some bubbles whilst taking in the views. Lots to do nearby. We went to the National trust Agatha Christy house and Coleton Fishacre as the weather wasn’t great. The only downside was the limited free parking but loads of paid parking nearby. So Top notch house in Kingswear. Def recommend!

We have just returned from a weeks stay here and we have nothing other than positive things to say about the house and area. We were a family of three with an 11 year old daughter. As soon as we walked into the house it felt like it wrapped us up, it was also a joy to return to after a days walking, looking around National Trust locations, visiting the local shops, crabbing, eating and drinking out in some wonderful places, touring the river and for us on our arrival weekend, looking around the food and drink festival which was a great surprise. My partner took his road bike and he said the riding was great with some challenging hills, I can say this about the walking also but my goodness the views at the top were defiantly worth it! We can recommend the wine shop “taste” where you can sample small amounts of wine while learning lots from the owners The Floating bridge did some gorgeous food- we enjoyed the muscles along side a great pint The Ferry Boat Inn was also very good. Enjoy

A beautiful house in the perfect location for exploring. Everything was as described with the most amazing views and sunsets from the roof terrace. I highly recommend The Ship Inn and The Steam Packet pubs a short walk down the road, very friendly with great food. It is really easy to get the ferry over to Dartmouth, it only costs £3 but cash only. Dartmouth has lots to see and do, the walk to the Castle and Sugary Cove is worth it. The hosts were really helpful before our arrival and gave us local recommendations. We will definately be making a return visit 🙂
